Grass 1:05:00 [3] 13.68 km (4:45 / km) +60m 4:39 / km
shoes: Salomon S-lab Sense SG

15' Easy + 2' + 4' +6' +4' +2' (3' recoveries) + 15' Easy

Used a grass field on the farm at home for this. Pretty wet and rather muddy... would probably have been better doing the session in spikes but they were back up north.
Working hard during the efforts even if it was a bit slippy underfoot at times with 3' in between allowing for decent recovery
Will probably do the session along the canal in future when back up north

Friday Nov 8 #

Most of the day spent travelling south to Devon. Nice not to be driving this time but not much time for anything else. Family stuff going on in the evening once back so had to give the run a miss

Thursday Nov 7 #

Road 1:00:23 [3] 16.0 km (3:46 / km) +69m 3:42 / km
shoes: Adidas UltraBoost

60' Moderate
Feeling some of yesterday's reps still in the legs which meant it felt like I was working harder than the last moderate run I did, particularly during the last 15'. Legs turning over well although perhaps pushed the pace a bit too much at times. Ran from the house, a bit on the canal and the rest on the road.

Wednesday Nov 6 #

Road/Trail mix 1:27:00 [3] 15.5 km (5:37 / km) +300m 5:07 / km
shoes: Adidas UltraBoost

25' easy + 8x60 second hill reps + 25' easy
Another headtorch run from the house and another cold night with a light dusting of snow today on the high tops. Ran on the road into town then did the reps on a decent trail in the glen. Final rep a touch slower than the rest but seemed pretty consistent all in all. 3' jog recovery between reps. Foot still seems good *touch wood*

Tuesday Nov 5 #

Road 59:25 [1] 11.28 km (5:16 / km) +68m 5:07 / km
shoes: Adidas Terrex agravic speed

60' easy + diagonals
Easy headtorch run from the house and into town with diagonals on the grass on the football pitch. Cold evening so took a bit longer than usual to fully warm up. Getting a bit wet and muddy on the grass but diagonals felt good all the same. Some good fireworks on show for the run back to the house at the end!

Monday Nov 4 #

Road/Trail mix 1:13:00 [1] 13.7 km (5:20 / km) +208m 4:57 / km
shoes: Adidas UltraBoost

Easy + strides
Felt a bit of tightness in the right hip initially which took about 30 mins to fully loosen up. Second half of run and strides felt better. No issues with the foot, even the tender spot I was feeling seems to have calmed down.

Trail 2:00:00 [1] 22.15 km (5:25 / km) +475m 4:54 / km

Easy 2hrs
Legs feeling not too bad after yesterday’s race. No real tightness, generally feeling quite good. Foot much the same as yesterday; no issues running on it but still one tender spot to keep an eye on.
