Saturday Jan 25 #

Road/Trail mix 59:00 [2] 13.16 km (4:29 / km) +70m 4:22 / km
shoes: Adidas UltraBoost

60’ moderate/ easy
Started off easy for 10’ before progressing into a moderate intensity. Ran at usual moderate pace of about 4’/km for a bit but really didn’t feel very comfortable. Discomfort in the chest as opposed to legs feeling tired. Quite a strange feeling. So eased off the pace until it felt better and ran the majority at the top end of easy

Friday Jan 24 #

Trail 58:00 [1] 11.19 km (5:11 / km) +140m 4:53 / km
shoes: Adidas Terrex agravic speed

Easy trails, energy levels starting come back I think. A moderate tomorrow will be a better test for that though

Thursday Jan 23 #

Road/Trail mix 50:00 [1] 9.38 km (5:20 / km) +80m 5:07 / km
shoes: Adidas UltraBoost

Still keeping it easy. Not feeling as tired as yesterday but don’t think energy levels are quite back at 100% yet. 6 strides at the end

Wednesday Jan 22 #

Road/Trail mix 50:00 [1] 9.52 km (5:15 / km) +35m 5:09 / km
shoes: Adidas UltraBoost

Easy flat run. Fingers crossed that’s the cough gone. Again, breathing feeling better. 6 x strideouts to finish. Generally feeling quite tired, think the body must have used up a lot of energy over the last few weeks fighting off the virus

Tuesday Jan 21 #

Trail 43:00 [1] 8.06 km (5:20 / km) +115m 4:59 / km
shoes: Adidas Terrex agravic speed

Easy trails, cough causing less of a problem and breathing feeling better

Monday Jan 20 #

Road/Trail mix 38:00 [1] 6.8 km (5:35 / km) +36m 5:27 / km
shoes: Adidas UltraBoost

Another short easy run, out and back along the canal. Breathing still a bit heavier than it should be, not helped by a slight tickle at the back of the throat which hasn’t quite gone yet. Seems okay running easy though

Sunday Jan 19 #

Trail 38:00 [1] 6.2 km (6:08 / km) +214m 5:14 / km
shoes: Adidas Terrex agravic speed

First run since new years day. Worst of the chest infection/ virus gone but still not 100% yet. Good to be back out, even if only short and easy for now. Legs feeling fresh but breathing feeling a bit heavy. Will continue to keep it easy for time being
