Mountain bike 46km / 680m
A super soggy day on the bike. Nice loop from Achnasheen; mega boggy and some shoddy trail made for a lot of hike a bike... at least can cycle uphill without any niggles even if can’t run uphill!

Some slightly hillier trails like Tuesday. Whilst perhaps not as uncomfortable as Tuesday still aware of something not 100% right on any climbing

Some easy trails along the river Beauly, all very flat and feeling okay. Will try something a bit hillier tomorrow

Back on the flat where the glute feels most comfortable, along the canal and looping back on the road. A couple of strides at the end felt okay too

Some slightly hillier trails; very easy pace but glute not nearly as comfortable as on the flat. Frustrating

Reverse plank with leg lifts
Band walks (black) : to fatigue
Hamstring curls: single legged

Mountain climbers
Ball pass to fatigue

Plus physio exercises, including some goblet squats this time now I’ve dug out a kettlebell. 2 sets

Monday Oct 5 #

Easy / Moderate w/ SVs
A flat hour, mostly top end of easy with a couple of kms at more of a moderate intensity. Did 8 x SVs in the second half to see how the glute would respond. Again, seems okay on the flat, ever so slightly aware of it with the slightly faster pace when doing SVs but nothing major

A flatter route than yesterday and feeling much more comfortable. A bit along the canal and the rest on the roads. Mostly at the top end of easy. Not quite as exciting as a long hill run but nice to be able to get a longish run in again all the same
