All on the canal path for this one. New pair of hokas feeling great. Feeling quite comfortable for the majority; the wind picked up in the last 10’ and lost the rhythm slightly here but a good run all in all.

20’ easy + 20’ uphill tempo + easy back

Used the same track as last week for the tempo. No snow on the track this time but it was incredibly windy. Once out of the trees after about 5 mins the hill becomes very exposed and I was battling a headwind the rest of the way up. Persevered and was working hard even if it felt slow going with the wind.
Will find a better hill for the longer tempos, can’t really squeeze anymore than 20’ out of this one.

Easy + SVs
Gentle trot from the house and up into the woods. Some muddy single track through the trees kept it very easy. SVs on the run back along the canal, quite windy which didn’t help but just ran these by effort perception

60' moderate + strides

A few days of mild weather has meant everything is starting to thaw a bit here. First run in shorts this year!
Tried a new route out and back along the shore. Some strong side winds at times coming off the water but otherwise good route.
Ran the first km easy before getting into it, feeling quite controlled throughout.

Some easy trails with 6 x hill sprints at 25'. Hill for the sprints not as steep as usual so duration was a bit longer. These felt good. Final 25' out along the canal

80’ easy

Very easy trot from the house. Pretty windy out there so headed up onto some single track trail in the woods to get out of the worst of it. Still a lot of snow about on the trails which slowed things down a bit.
Left hip has been feeling a bit tight most of the day. Gave it a good stretch before running and it seemed to ease somewhat towards the end of the run. Still feels a bit tight though
