Running 1:25:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Moved my long run to Friday as will be pretty busy this weekend moving, hopefully will get to roadies tomorrow. Dark and a bit chilly run out along Plumpton Rd, over the hill and down to the dam, then back home.

Windy lap of the lake, good to get out after sitting down all day. Then organised Kooringal Street O... put a control on an ex-Orienteering fam's house with a bonus question of 'Who used to live here?' - Any guesses?

Running 1:13:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Willans loop x2, was determined to do two laps today no matter how I was feeling or what the weather was like.... thankfully the weather was good, even started to sprinkle with rain at times and I was feeling pretty good.... think I was still on a high from picking up the keys for our house!! yay!!

Popped around after dinner, got a nice little surprise... the previous owners had forgot to take their funky blue yabbie... going to pick it up on thurs. Looks like I have a fun weekend of moving ahead of me :)

Tuesday Feb 26

Running 51:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Morning streets

Running intervals 25:00 [5]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Wasn't sure if I'd get this session in today as had a meeting at Tarcutta for the Bypass during the day, but it finished early. Went up to Willans and did my 4 x 1.3km intervals, a lot warmer than I expected, times about the same as last week so can't complain.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]

Monday Feb 25

Note
(rest day)
Sports massage at lunch and then spent my arvo driving around Kooringal setting this Thursdays Summer Series

Sunday Feb 24

Running race (Duathlon) 17:08 [5] 4 km (4:17 / km) vdot: 45.3
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Monthly Wagga Tri-ants Duathlon @ Lake Albert. Felt surprisingly good on the first run leg after yesties training and was really happy with my time, 1min faster than last month.... however race went downhill from there!!

Cycling (Road) race (Duathlon) 39:30 [5] 18 km (2:12 / km)
shoes: Shimano
Rather slow in the transition but given it was my first one where I had to change shoes it wasn't too bad. So so damn windy today and I died going along Plumpton Rd (headwind) the first time...and the second loop was worse. Got passed by the other two females doing the long but not until right at the end... had fun changing shoes again!!

Running race (Duathlon) 8:43 [5] 2 km (4:22 / km) vdot: 41.7
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
I don't think I'll ever get used to the jelly leg feeling after getting off the bike!! Caught the up two ladies up pretty quickly, so was happy with that, even happier when it was all over!! Had fun tho. Really looking forward to a rest day and sports massage tomorrow :)

Pilates 30:00 [3]
Found my dvd whilst packing my room and decided to give it a go, was more enjoyable than packing

Saturday Feb 23

Orienteering 1:12:00 [4] 8.8 km (8:11 / km)
shoes: Jalas - new
Headed out to Shockeroo Track for some orienteering.. set myself a fairly long course with some looong (1.5km) legs across spur gully areas and then short legs in the limited amount of rock on the map. Happy with how I went in the rock.... the spur gully (which in times was rather vauge) was another story!! Got myself totally confused a couple of times.. then at one stage when I was standing still (just worked out where I was)... saw a brown snake right next to me and I was out of there!! Fun morning thou

Running race (Road Runners) 25:48 [5] 5.8 km (4:27 / km) vdot: 44.4
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Road Runners @ Wagga Beach, end of month handicap race. Started 10secs behind Carmel and managed to stick with her for nearly the entire run (got infront once, at the drinks stop!!). Time was ok, 10secs faster than last week and once again after a morning of o'ing. Tested out the new Pizza place afterwards, yummy vego pide!

Slow morning streets, was pretty tired after staying up too late last night watching tv :(

Orienteering (Street O) 43:00 [4] 9 km (4:47 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Summer Series Street O around Lake Albert (suburb, not the actual Lake), felt a lot better than I thought I would, maybe my short lie down after work helped. Got 180 points, pushed it pretty hard at the end cos I thought I was going to be late but ended up having 2 mins to spare.

Wednesday Feb 20

Running 49:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Willans run, did my loop in reverse today and it seemed so much steeper than the usual. Legs were feeling heavy after another day of inspections

Tuesday Feb 19

Running 51:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Morning streets, had to go 15mins earlier than usual, so it was rather dark when I left, wasn't as quite as my normal morning streets as the earlier time slot meant I copped all the cars heading out to the airport for the 6.30am flights to syd

Running intervals 25:00 [5]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
4 x 1.3km intervals on Willans, was pretty happy with my times considering I was pretty stuffed after spending the day walking around Coolac. Times 6.11, 6.11, 6.18 and 6.28

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14

Monday Feb 18

Out to Plum Pudding Hill and home again

Sunday Feb 17

Running 1:38:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Morning slog out along the Wiradjuri track and home, legs feeling very tired after yesterday but felt good after the run. Trent and I headed out to Jerilderie afterwards to check out his new Pharmacy, he'll be moving back to Wagga in 2 weeks (just in time for us to move into our house!!) but working 3 days a week out at Jerilderie - no more Albury, yay!!

Saturday Feb 16

Orienteering 1:05:30 [4] 7.9 km (8:17 / km)
shoes: Jalas - new
First bush Orienteering since Oceania and it showed!! Dad set me two 4km loops out at Connorton, I spent the first loop remembering to lift my legs up over all the fallen timber and rocks, plus try and dodge the MASSIVE spiders that seemed to have made webs between every tree!! Navigationally I felt ok, a bit rusty in the technical areas but no major errors. Picking the grass seeds out of my pants, socks and shoes after was the worst part :(

Running race (Road Runners) 25:55 [5] 5.8 km (4:28 / km) vdot: 44.1
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Dragged myseld to roadies in the evening, legs were a bit tired at the start after the mornings run but I was feeling surprisingly good after 5mins, pushed it fairly hard and finally got a win over Carmel.

Friday Feb 15

Running 1:16:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Really don't enjoy hills first thing in the morning. Willans run x2, nice and dark when I left home at 6am so had to be a bit cautious early on on the dirt tracks, great to watch the sun rise from the top of the hill thou.

Wednesday Feb 13

Running 49:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Willans run, had planned on doing two loops but was feeling terrible in the stomach, maybe I ate too much choc cake last night for Cam's b'day, tasted good at the time!!

Tuesday Feb 12

Running 51:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)

Monday Feb 11

Running 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Morning run from our accom in Melb, past the MCG and Tennis Centre and then along the Yarra, took a while to get used to the number of cyclists on their way into the city for work, but a nice run and made even better by my comfy new shoes (and socks!!)

Cycling (Road) 40:00 [3]
shoes: Shimano
Stretch of the legs ride when I got back to Wagga, all was going well until I nearly got knocked off by a school bus along Plumpton Rd, it came so close to me and I ended up running me off the road, was a bit shaken after this.

Sunday Feb 10

Note
(rest day)
Didnt feel up to running in the morning and went to the Cricket in the arvo

Saturday Feb 9

Note
(rest day)
No time for running today. Trent and I opted for tourist mode today In Melbourne instead of shopping which was fun, did heaps of walking and was pretty stuffed by the time we got back to our accom.

Went out for dinner at a resturant in Southbank, great choice... because half of the Aussie Cricket team was sitting a couple of tables from us!! Punter, Gilly, Hussey, Clark and Hogg.... got a smile from Hussey when he walked past our table - the food was good too!!

Friday Feb 8

Running 1:30:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Moved my long run to today as going down to Melbourne for the weekend this arvo for a nice relaxing weekend, and cricket on Sunday (please don't rain!!). A tad chilly and dark at 6am which was a nice change. Legs held up for most of the run, but were pretty tired by the end after the previous two days, time for a rest :)

shoes: Shimano
Arvo cycle along Gregadoo Rd, was horribly humid after our nice rain today

Sunday Feb 3

Running 1:37:00 [3]

Morning long out along the Wiradjuri track for 50mins and home. Had planned on joining the guys from Road Runners for their long run but a few are training for the 6ft marathon and were doing a super long today, next time!!

Swimming 25:00 [3]
Long time no swim, and it showed plus I forgot my goggles and my eyes are so so sore now

Saturday Feb 2

Cycling (Road) 1:20:00 [3] 35 km (2:17 / km)
shoes: Shimano
Bit of a shakey start today, getting used to my new proper bike shoes but thankfully I didn't have to stop and start much during the ride, felt heaps better riding with them and not my runners!!

Running (Road Runners) 27:00 [5] 5.8 km (4:39 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
First Road Runners of the year at Wagga Beach, good turn out considering the heat. Felt great for the first half and then progressively slowed in the second, managed to hold off Carmel until the final turn around and then watched her disappear in front of me. Can't remember my times from last year but I'm sure I'm slower

Friday Feb 1

Running 54:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
