Friday Nov 30

Running 1:04:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Morning slog, stomach was playing up.

Thursday Nov 29

Running 51:20 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Morning full lap of the Lake, nice after a good bit of rain last night

Orienteering (Summer Series) 42:30 [4] 8.7 km (4:53 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
First Wagga Summer Street O for the year, nice easy location for the first one... just stepped out the front of my house and started. Given I know Tatton pretty well I headed across Plumpton Rd and got all the controls in Lake Haven, then back for a few more in Tatton. Fastest I've run in a long time, hip feeling good.

Got home to some great news.... Trent passed his oral exam and is now a registered Pharmacist!! Yay!!

Wednesday Nov 28

Running 52:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
I always seem to find the best running places when Im away on the day I leave!! Came across a nice bike path from Laureiton to West Haven beach, oh well!! Nice run before the slog back to Wagga.

Physio again, got my foot taped again.... going back next week to get orthotics.

Tuesday Nov 27

Running 40:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Morning run, same area as yesterday cept ran a bit further along the same road to get a bit more time up.

Running 20:00 [2]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
A bit of a pointless run, was really hungry after another long day but really needed to stretch my legs, Ran for 10mins, kept smelling peoples yummy dinners so turned around and headed back to my motel and then to the club.

Trip was worth the all travelling, interesting to compare whats happening on the Pac Highway to on the Hume, glad I went.

Monday Nov 26

Running 30:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Forced myself to go for a run after a long day of travelling (2 flights to get to Port Macquarie and 40min drive to site) and inspecting the Pac Highway works. Stayed in a little town, Laureiton about 30mins south of Port, dissappointed with the lack of running opportunities (there was a nice big hill but not for me). Ended up running down the main street and then along some streets/beside some water. After 20mins realised my hip wasn't hurting :)

Sunday Nov 25

Running 1:06:00 [3] 13 km (5:05 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13
Morning Gateway Island loop, didn't get out of bed early enough to miss the heat. Felt really good thou.... don't want to jinx myself so won't say anything else!!

Cycling (Mtb) 1:00:00 [3]
Decided Id better go for a cycle when I got back to Wagga. Did my round Wagga loop, was really windy thou a bit of a storm brewing by the time I go home, not sure if we'll get any rain thou.

Off to Port Macquarie tomorrow (6.30am flight, argh!!), will be spending two days on the Pacific Highway. Hopefully will get some free time to run on the beach...

Saturday Nov 24

Running 54:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13
Morning run out along the Murray and back. I think I saw the Riverina electorate mentioned once during the election tv broadcasts, too much of a stable seat, thou there was a swing from the Nationals to Labour but not much!!
C • Safe seats 1

Friday Nov 23

Running 1:05:00 [3] 13.0 mi (4:59 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13
Flexi... yay!! Down to Albs for the weekend to hang with Trent (or be that wait on Trent as he's studying for his oral exam to become a registered Pharmacist... he's a bit stressed). Gateway Island loop, hip felt good for the first 30mins and then started to get pretty tight.

Thursday Nov 22

Running 51:00 [3] 10 km (5:06 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13
Woke up at some random time in the early morning and heard it was raining... made the decision then that I wasn't going to go running in the morning! It was the first time in a long time that it rained/sprinkled all day which was good. Ran down to Lake Albert via the Boat Club, did a full lap of the lake and then home

Wednesday Nov 21

Running 38:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Quick morn run around Lake Albert. Lots of people out walking which was good to see.

Running 48:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Quite different conditions to my previous runs this week.... it was raining!! Was keen to go running again after spending half of my day driving, but probably not a good idea to tackle Willans Hill, hip was killing me by the last decent... bugger, it was feeling so good.

Got a taste of my life for the next year and a half.... first inspection of the duplication of the Sheahan Bridge.... things are slowly starting to happen but won't kick in fully until early 08, should be a good project to work on

Tuesday Nov 20

Cycling (Mtb) 1:15:00 [3]
Cycling won over running today, was just too hot!! Got to 38 degrees :( Tried to stay on dirt tracks for as much on the ride as I could, the heat coming off the pavement was too much!! Thankyou ipod for keeping me out as long as you did!!

Monday Nov 19

Running (fartlek) 39:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Emerged from the physio with another round of strapping.. my foot again, different to last time I can actually feel it pulling when I walk, think I am going to need orthotics. So so hot this arvo, ran to Apex Park and back, pushing it as hard as I could when I was in the shade. Hip felt the best it has in a long time :)

Found out today that I'm going away for work again next week, but this time to a much more enjoyable location.... Port Macquarie! Will be up there Mon-Wed next week to look at some of the Pacific Highway works.

Sunday Nov 18

Running 1:08:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Hip really hurt this morning :( Did the Gateway loop from Trents place and struggled badly on the way back. Going to the physio again tomorrow.

Cycling (Mtb) 1:00:00 [3]
Afternoon ride out to Plumpton hills to test out my newly serviced bike :)
Thankfully my hip doesnt hurt when I ride!

Saturday Nov 17

Running 53:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Finally an outside run!! Flew into Albury last night from Sydney (to surprise Trent). Enjoyed a sleep in and then ventured outside, felt a bit weird not running on the same spot but I quickly got used to it!! Hot morning, probably about 30 degrees at 11am, a sign of things to come I guess. Hip was feeling ok for the first 20mins and then started to feel a bit of pain, had hoped my easy week would have helped it.

Friday Nov 16

Running (treadmil) 20:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Got on the treadmil this morn, and thought what the hell am i doing here... lasted 20mins which was a surprise. Glad this week of treadmil pain is over
Cycling (Mtb) (exercise bike) 30:00 [3]

Thursday Nov 15

Running (treadmil) 45:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Second last day.... bring on Friday!! (maybe not, cos I have to sit an exam as part of my training course)

Cycling (Mtb) (exercise bike) 20:00 [3]

Wednesday Nov 14

Running (treadmil) 55:15 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Lasted a lot longer than I though I would today on the treadmil, don't think I've ever sweated that much before.... gym really needs some good ventilation!! Given the impressive spread of food we're getting at the training I'm going to have to stick with the treadmil this week.... too much yummy food!!

Tuesday Nov 13

Running (treadmil) 33:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Given yesterdays training course ran way over time I opted for exercise in the morning again and ventured to the dreaded treadmil again, took my ipod this time so it wasn't as bad

Cycling (Mtb) (Exercise Bike) 20:00 [3]

Monday Nov 12

Running (treadmil) 30:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
I hate treadmils!! and the one at my accom in Sydney is worse than most, it faces a blank white wall..... theres no fans.... it was horrible.

Cycling (Mtb) (Exercise Bike) 20:00 [3]
After the painfull treadmil stint jumped onto an exercise bike, at least it was facing a window so I had a bit of a view!!

Sunday Nov 11

Running 1:38:00 [3] 18 km (5:27 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Morning long run which ended up slowing right down to a plod by the end, didnt want to push my knee to far plus feeling rather unfit at the moment. Decided to have a go at a bit of the Wiradjuri walking trail track (which is about a 30km loop around Wagga).

From my place went out to Red Hill Rd and all the way along it to the quarry road. Good bush tracks here, then went under the railway line and out to Silverlite, the track isn't very well marked here and ended up taking a couple of wrong turns. Then crossed the highway and went up into Pomingalrna, hills!!, stopped for a drink and look at the view from the top and then headed back down past the golf course and along Flowerdale Lagoon. Hip started to hurt a fair bit on the downhills so thought Id better call it a morning and got picked up. Its a good track, hopefully one day I'll have a crack at the entire loop.

Off to Sydney tonight for a week long Environmental Auditing training course for work, it's going to be a struggle to get through this one!!

Saturday Nov 10

Running race (Road Runners @ Wagga Beac) 23:56 [4] 5.2 km (4:36 / km) vdot: 42.3
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Opted for the short today as planning on attempting a long slow plod tomorrow. Starting to warm up again, and was pretty humid out on the North Wagga flats. Hip hurt a bit towards the end, managed to keep up with Carmel thou until the long and short courses split.

Friday Nov 9

Running 1:05:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
After ignoring my alarm to go running in the morn, I dragged myself out after work. Windy again, my hip was ok for the first half but ached a lot on the way home, happy to take the strapping tape off my foot afterwards.

Thursday Nov 8

Cycling (Mtb) 1:05:00 [3]
Took Dad for his last bit of exercise before his operation tomorrow, went out to Boiling Down Rd and then up Redbank into Plumpton Hills, had a horrible head wind, side wind, which ever direction we were going wind!! Dad headed back home after this and I went out to Gregadoo Rd and then back home via Lake Albert.

Pilates 30:00 [3]

Wednesday Nov 7

Running 1:06:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Back to the Physio again today, this time I emerged with my left foot tightly strapped, to see whether my hip problems are originating in my feet, felt a bit weird at first back got used to it.

Plumpton, Boiling Down loop, felt really good for the first 35mins and then died, feeling so slow and unfit at the moment.

Tuesday Nov 6

Running 38:15 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Morn run around the Lake

Cycling (Mtb) 1:02:00 [3]
Out to Mitchell Rd and then back to Plumpton, then around Springvale for a bit. Feeling pretty good hip wise, was a bit sore after the mornings run but it doesnt seem to hurt at all when I cycle.

Best Melbourne Cup performance from me today, backed both Efficient and Mahler, scored a nice bit of pocked money for my trip to Sydney next week!!

Monday Nov 5

Running (fartlek) 38:15 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
From home to Apex Park and back. Hip pulled up pretty nicely after yesterday, I had been expecting the worse, its now more of an ache than the pain it was last week.

Sunday Nov 4

Running race (Lap of the Lake) 24:13 [5] 5.5 km (4:24 / km) vdot: 44.8
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
First offical lap of the Lake run, was meant to be a come and try it event for the Wagga Road Runners but I think the wet and chilly weather turned a lot of people off.

Wasn't really in race mode after driving up from Albury this morn but after a short warm up felt ok. Hip held up ok, started hurting in the last km or so. Ended up 1st female and 5th overall. Spilts were:

4'13
4'24
4'21
4'31
4'22
2'19

Pilates 30:00 [2]

Saturday Nov 3

Running 1:04:00 [3] 13 km (4:55 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
A bit longer than I had planned but my hip was feeling pretty good and considering I hadn't run since Tuesday decided to make the most of it. From Trents place to the Murray, this time ran on the track around Gateway Island, not too bad went under the new freeway twice and then back to my normal track and home. A bit humid due to the nice bit of overnight rain so I wasn't really complaining

Thursday Nov 1

Pilates 30:00 [2]
Strapping had loosened up a bit after a restless night sleep and numerous trips up and down the stairs at work today. Had another go at my Pilates DVD, didn't feel quite as un-co as last time
