| ACT Champs. Cold and windy morning, was feeling surprisingly good and determined just to have a clean run. Took it reasonably cautiously for the first few controls and then found myself in a nice rythm, not overly fast. Didn't make any major errors, just stopped short a couple of times in the circle. Made sure I knew where I was going before I left the control site and planned where I was going. Only saw Jo out there and she wizzed past, so just ran my own race. Great area and fun course, happy with navigation and surprised with 3rd.

| Well..... Honeysuckle got the better of me.... again.... I'm yet to have a good run here :( Realised at the start that my compass has a massive bubble in it and was taking ages to settle.
Overran the first control, but things got better from here (not)... found #2 ok but made a 90degree error leaving the control, ended up hitting a termite mound south of #3, another 90degree error leaving #3 and had so much trouble with #4, found the rock just south then ran down to the termie missed it so went back up to the rock and found it on my second attempt... then left the control weirdly and went back to #4 to relocate. Not happy!! Jo and Shan caught me on my way to #5, Shan saved me from dnf here and we ran the rest of the course together which was heaps of fun. Thanks Shan!! and Thanks Dad for the new compass.
Dad beat me by almost 2mins today, 1 all in the Davey challenge... winner buys the ice cream on the way home tomorrow, thou I'm not sure if it'll be warm enough for ice cream!!

| First bush sprint in ages and really enjoyed it, slight error going to the first one too far to the right, saw Clare and Shan heading towards #2 so didn't loose too much time. Kept ahead of Tracy (started 1min behind me) until #12, was stuffed by the end, happy with 5th

| Morn streets, dug out the gloves and beanie this morn... eekkk!! Ran the opposite way today as I'm not to keen on running along the river in the dark, there's a few shady characters around at times, the only prob with going this direction is having to slog it up Macklay St at the end. Legs feeling tired, looking forward to my lunch time sports massage |

| Two laps of smelly Lake Albert, water levels are so low that parts of the lake bottom have been mowed!! Really bad smell of dead fish in some places, yucko!! Was feeling really sore today, combination of my stack yesterday, doing ab stuff on the swiss ball last night and being glued to my desk chair all day writing up my EOI, so just happy to be out moving!!

| Club Street O score event from Wagga Beach... wasn't too keen on this one, being a Sunday morning and running around central Wagga, but only had to cross the main street once! Didn't feel like I was pushing it too hard but managed to get all controls bar one and ended up winning. Good fun

| Road Runners @ Pommy, I don't think I'll ever find these hills easy, even with my return to the Wed night runs!! They hurt, but are good prep for the Nail Can Hill run in 2 weeks. Pushed pretty hard up the hills at the start and then managed to get into a nice rhythm on the single tracks. Surprised myself with 10secs faster than the first week and first female (no Carmel this week). Kinda glad I miss the handicap race next week, too much pressure!! |

| Morn streets, nice running along the river at this time of day. Feeling better than last night, thou cramping started again near the end - only one day left on the antibiotics - my 'pharmacist' won't let me stop taking them, no matter how much I complain to him - my toe has cleared up nicely which is the only positive!

| Pommy group run, a much bigger turn out than last week. Still not a super fast pace as a few of the guys are in recovery mode after the Canberra Marathon, but that didn't stop them pushing it up the hills. Not sure how long we ran for, 53mins including walks |

| Wollundry Loop, recovery run. Not a good run, legs were feeling a bit tight at the start but loosened up after the first 10mins, but then the stomach cramping started, not sure what from, I think its from the antibiotics I'm on for my infected toe, had stop call in at Grans again then struggled back to the beach |

| Longest run ever... Had been planning on doing this one in October last year but got injured. Basically ran the entire Wiradjuri Walking Track which is 30km, cut out 2km along the river. Started with hills on Willans and then went along Red Hill Rd and over the hill to Silverlite. The hills at Pommy killed me, going down hurt a lot as well!! Time wise I was going pretty good, stopped and had a gel at Flowerdale Lagoon and then headed home past the MTC to the beach and along the river. The hill on Macklay St just before home was the end of me. So happy with my time and that I actually did the run!!
So so sore now |

 | Running race 42:02 [4] 8.5 km (4:57 / km) vdot: 40.1 | |

| Road Runners at Pommy. Ran with Dad today so a bit slower than last week. After a week of playing golf Dad was a bit reluctant to run with me, I pushed him up the hills and then we realised we could finish under 5min/kms (which he just missed out on last week), so ended up putting in a sprint finish. Good run

| Morning run down to and along the Murrumbidgee then past the MTC, 3 weeks to the Gold Cup better start thinking bout what I'm going to wear!! Was really enjoying this run until I got to the Duke of Kent oval and a dog started chasing me and snapping at my ankles, I just couldnt get rid of him so ended up taking a short detour to my Grans house and hiding inside for 5mins. From here home I just couldn't get back into running mode

| Finally made myself go back to the wednesday Pommy group run, not a big turn out but good to chat. Nice pace, were prob out for an hour but only ran 45mins. Last 10mins was in the dark, a bit scary going down the last dirt track. Hoping to make this run a more regular thing for me |

| 4 x 1.3km intervals on Willans. During my warmup I set myself a goal to be running this loop in 6.00 by ANZAC, did the first loop in 6.06 equal to my best then from somewhere pulled two 6.00 reps, yay!! Was really pushing it on the hills. Will have to rethink my ANZAC time goal now

| Morning run with Catherine, down to the river and then back home via the lagoon. Was feeling a tired and a tad under the weather after last nights housewarming, but was a great morning for running and even better since I had company, struggled to get used to talking the entire time - more used to solo running.

| Road Runners at Pomingalarna, different course to last year and probably more enjoyable thou still lots and lots of climb!! Used a lot of the mtb tracks from last weekends 3hr race which were much better than the main tracks. Ran in a pack at the start with Sanders, Carmel, Watson and Warwick which was fun, a bit of sledging from Watson pushed me along. Ended up being a tussle between Warwick, Carmel and myself. Good fun |

| Met Mum at Lake Albert after work, she ran to Apex Park and back and I did a Lap. Feeling back to normal, not as tired or lacking energy as have over last week. Still a bit breezy this arvo but nothing like yesterday. I reckon Wagga car washers will do a roaring trade this weekend as every second car now has a coating of red dust, mine included :(

| Knew this was going to be an interesting run... Strong winds and rain forecast for the arvo, the strong winds were present however no rain, just a dust storm, everything was red. Had to stop and hide behind a tree 5mins into the run and wait for a mini dust cloud to pass, and only had to chase after my hat once. My running top and I returned home a nice shade of dust red, matching my car which Id left out the front. Apart from the weather, my run was ok, Im starting to feel a lot better. |
