Monday Jun 30

Running 30:45 [3] 6 km (5:08 / km)
shoes: Asics Enduro
Short Willans loop, had been hoping to run in the rain (strange I know!!) but of course the drizzle stopped just as I was leaving home. Pushed it harded on the hills this time but some parts of the tracks were super slippery so had to take it cautiously on the downhills
C • Europe trip 2

Sunday Jun 29

Running 44:05 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14 (2)
Mid morning run down to the River and along the levee for a bit, then back home via the Wollundry Lagoon. Nice weather, not too cold.

Saturday Jun 28

Running race 40:25 [4] 9 km (4:29 / km) vdot: 45.1
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14 (2)
Road Runners end of month handicap race, @ Rawlings Park. Really not a fan of handicap races, always seem to run my slowest time and this week was no exception. Started off slow and didnt get caught by anyone until about halfway, by then I was a bit over it and didnt have the motivation to push myself run with others (also had the thought in the back of my mind that I was running home again)

Running 52:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14 (2)
Felt a lot better running home this week than last, prob hung around a bit too long after the race and had started to cool down (the smell of saucages cooking told me it was time to leave), stopped a mum and dads for a drink from their tap 30mins into the run but was feeling pretty dehydrated by the time I got home.

Friday Jun 27

Running 50:50 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14 (2)
Morn streets - only 5 days of work to go, yay!!

Thursday Jun 26

Running 29:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14 (2)
Morn streets

Running 32:50 [3] 6 km (5:28 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Shorter Willans loop, didn't have much energy up the hills.

Pilates 30:00 [3]

Wednesday Jun 25

Running 1:06:15 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Arvo run up on Willans and then along Red Hill, instead of coming home along Glenfield Rd, went across Jubilee Oval and down Bourke St, stopping in at Tolland Pharmacy on the way to say hi to Trent at his new work. Stayed a bit too long so it was pretty much dark for the remaining 10mins home

Tuesday Jun 24

Running 30:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14 (2)
Morn streets, overcast morning and wore too many layers so I was feeling rather overheated by the end. Feeling unusually tight/stiff today, trying to make more of an effort to stretch after each run.

Running 25:50 [4] 5.5 km (4:42 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14 (2)
Lap of the Lake. Nice afternoon, feeling a bit flat thou :( Went home via the parentals and raided the kitchen cupboard... mmm chocolate

Strength and Conditioning 20:00 [2]

Monday Jun 23

Running 57:15 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Not the best of runs, my knee was abit sore from a combination of hitting it yesterday and spending 4 hours driving to Corowa and back today for work. Ridge run but came home through the Botanic Gardens for something different.

Sunday Jun 22

Orienteering 47:24 [3] 5.9 km (8:02 / km) +250m 6:38 / km
shoes: Asics Enduro
Club event on Willans Hill, very handy location for me, meant I could sleep in!! Didn't start off too great, drawing my map up wrong (numbered the course backwards). Drizzled all morning which made all the small rocks very slippery. Standard long course at Willans, lots of climb (went over the ridge 4 times) and lots of track running. Took it pretty cautiously cos of the wet, had a nice big slip clambering over one contour bank and hit my knee pretty hard. Enjoyable course set by newcomers Rick and Neroli :)

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Enduro
Jog to and from the Music Bowl for the club event, quite out this morning which was good cos I was in my o gear running along the streets

Pilates 30:00 [3]

Saturday Jun 21

Running race 40:15 [4] 9 km (4:28 / km) vdot: 45.3
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Road Runners @ Rawlings Park. Slower than last week, mainly cos I was running home after the race.

Running 55:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Run home after roadies, along the back of the lake and then a slow slog through Tatton, quick drink from the tap outside my parents and then off up Willans, hills in the last 15mins hurt as the rest of the days running had be relatively flat.

Dropped the parents at the airport this morn for the first leg of their trip to Europe... Dad wasn't very impressed with my msg in the arvo that the Roos (Mums team!!) beat the Hawks... hehehe

Friday Jun 20

Running 50:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Morning streets, alarm didnt go off this morning, turns out I had it set for next Thursday. Sprinkling with rain for the duration of the run which was nice.

Running 57:10 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
I was strangly motivated for this Friday arvo run.... after a week of forcing myself to go running, eating rather unhealthly and drinking, I was surprised how good I felt, put it down to a couple of reasons...

a) sugar high... had been eating these tasty 'boxing kangaroo' Allens lollies all arvo.
b) re-motivated after chatting to one of the guys I'm running in the Wagga Trail Marathon relay with, and finding out I'm running the last leg (12.2km), so gotta stay fit for that.
c) I'm super happy cos it was Trents last day working out at Jerilderie!! he will now actually be living all the time at our house.
d) it was Friday.

Thursday Jun 19

Cycling (Road) (Windtrainer) 1:00:00 [3]

shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14 (2)
Two laps of the Lake

Monday Jun 16

Running 29:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Morn streets... so so cold!! My face felt like it was frozen for the first 10mins, then I think I just got used to the numbness!!

Sports massage at lunch, think I left this one a bit too long, my hamstrings were so so tight, nearly kicked Tony at one stage it hurt so much.

Sunday Jun 15

Running 1:30:15 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Morning long, so so cold.... out to Glenfield Rd and then up through Hilltop and down the other side of Red Hill into Tatton, for something different I went down to the golf course and along Lake Albert for a bit, regreting that choice on my way up Red Hill Rd, back home through Willans.

Strength and Conditioning 30:00 [2]

Saturday Jun 14

Running race 38:50 [5] 9 km (4:19 / km) vdot: 47.2

This hurt... Road Runners at Rawlings Park. As usual went out to hard at the start and was totally stuffed by about 6km. Happy with my time thou, had a look back at what I did on the same course last year, 41.42, so nice improvement.

Pilates 10:00 [3]
Just abs today

Friday Jun 13

Running 29:30 [3]

Morning streets, once again struggled to get out of bed, probably wouldn't have if it was still raining... first real cold morning, started sprinkling again just as I got home.

Pilates 30:00 [3]

Wednesday Jun 11

Running 57:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Oops, hit the snooze button again this morning won't be able to do that tomorrow. Was going to do intervals but my little loop would have been pretty muddy, so did my longer ridge run, nice and hilly! Mum and Cam also went for a run at the same time from my place (Dad walked, still getting over his cold), then I had to cook them dinner :)

Tuesday Jun 10

Running 1:07:15 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Longer than I was planning to do, but guess I had to make up for sleeping in this morning. Chilly arvo run, on Willans and Red Hill then home along Glenfield road, rain held off during the run but I still managed to get nicely covered in mud from the mornings rain as the tracks were nice and soggy.

Monday Jun 9

Running 57:20 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Morning (Mid - after sleepin and breakfast) run, Willans Hill/Red Hill ridge run, was feeling surprisingly good after yesterday, especially since I basically finished my course and jumped in the car for 4 hours (no cool down/stretching.. oops).

Cycling (Road) (Windtrainer) 1:00:00 [3]

Hoped on the trainer after going to the movies, gotta love public holidays :)

Sunday Jun 8

Orienteering race (QB3 - Day 2) 1:26:55 [5] 9.3 km (9:21 / km) +210m 8:24 / km
shoes: Jalas - new
QB3 Day 2 on "Limekiln Creek for Big Kids", didnt realise this was the same place we ran the 06 NSW Champs. Enjoyable area, technical in places and very vague in others, especially in areas of green.

Started off well in the mining areas, then took a weird route to #4 where Jo caught me. Was really happy with the way I was running/navigating til #9, left the 'track' after #8 a bit too early and ended up fighting through a lot more green than I needed to and then after a bit more bush bashing things didnt look right. Made myself stop still and work out where I was... I ended up being on the ridge we ran along from #4 to #5, was super happy with how well I relocated, it could have gotten very messy!!! Ran the rest of the course well, tiring by the end.

Running warm up/down 10:00 [3]
Warm up on the way to the start. No cool down, I was cold enough already and hungry, so straight off to the Bungendore Bakery

Saturday Jun 7

Event: QBIII

Orienteering race (QB3 - Day 1) 32:23 [5] 4.5 km (7:12 / km) +45m 6:51 / km
shoes: Jalas - new
QB3 Day 1 on new map 'Wild Deer Sands', pretty fun area, flattish and technical but with a fair bit of fallen timber for me to stumble over. Started off terribly, was on the right line to #1 but then drifted back south and found 158 also on a termite before mine, reclocated easily but lost prob 1 and a half mins. Rest of the course was heaps of fun, got a bit scared going into #2 as I could here chainsaws going rather close to the control! Happy with the way I navigated in the technical stuff and felt like I was running ok.

Warm up - running to start with Dad, then running back to the car to get his drink bottle and then back to start. Cool down - run back to the finish to see Cam and Mum before they started

Cycling (Road) (Windtrainer) 30:00 [3]

Still not feeling 100% today which is annoying. Dad got my bike/windtrainer fixed, Ive gotten 4 flat tyres whilst using the trainer since March, took the bike and trainer back to the shop and got a new, thicker tyre put on, hopefully that solves the prob!!

Strength and Conditioning 20:00 [2]

Thursday Jun 5

Pilates 30:00 [3]
Spent most of the day willing my stomach cramps to go away, didnt happen. pilates was bout all I could handle

Wednesday Jun 4

Running 29:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Morning plod around the streets, no rain whilst running but lots of puddles to run through in the dark

Running 35:00 [3] 7 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Evening run up on to Willans, along the main track and then around the streets with Dad. Nice easy pace to allow us to chat and negotiate the traffic. As we ran along Bourke St, a cyclist headed towards us... wearing sunnies at 5.30pm... who else could it be than Mum cycling home from work, no wonder she says its always dark by the time she cycles home!!

Strength and Conditioning 20:00 [2]

Monday Jun 2

Running 57:15 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Ridge run from home. Nice long slow climb up to the top of Willans and then along the ridge line to Hill Top, turned around and came home. Feeling a lot better than yestie, nice views of the sun setting over Pommy from the top of Willans as well.

Sunday Jun 1

Running 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Was lucky to get out of bed for this one, had a horrible night sleep (or attempt of a sleep), only reason I woke up was cos the neighbours were once again making a racket (at least it wasn't music at 3am again...) and I couldnt get back to sleep. Had wanted to do 90mins but settled for a struggled 60mins around the streets.

Cycling (Mtb) 40:00 [3]
To make up for my shorter than planned run this morning, finally got around to mtb riding on Willans Hill. Getting a bit more confindence but still a lot of room for improvement. Was surprised at how well I know the tracks up there. The model trains were running this weekend so had fun riding past them a few times.

Strength and Conditioning 20:00 [2]
Got bored watching Trent play the PS3 so went and did some core stuff and weights
