Sunday Apr 8

Orienteering race (Easter Day 2) 1:26:53 [5] 9.4 km (9:15 / km) +320m 7:54 / km
shoes: Jalas - old
Probably my worst long race in a while.... was feeling really good technically (and physically, surprisingly) until the long leg... I came so close to the control but not sure what happened, finally found it (lost bout 10mins), motivation was very low after this and just aimed to finish

Saturday Apr 7

Orienteering race (Easter Day 1) 40:56 [5] 5.8 km (7:03 / km)
shoes: Jalas - old
Started off ok, well that was until the 3rd control where I stuffed around in the wrong gully, prob lost 2mins. Was ok for the rest of the course, cept felt myself getting progressively slower

Friday Apr 6

Event: Australian Easter Orienteering Carnival

Orienteering race (Easter Sprint) 16:06 [5] 2.6 km (6:12 / km)
shoes: Jalas - old
Struggled with my speed, but navigated ok.

Wednesday Apr 4

Running 50:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus
Another perfect morning for a run, and not as chilly as the day before. Just along Plumpton Rd to Boiling Down Rd and back home. Neil caught up to me as I was going past the golf club, tho his pace was a bit too quick for me this morning. Last run before the long drive to SA.... eekk 10hours in a car.

Sports massage at lunch time (so felt a little too relaxed at work in the arvo), definately needed it. Must have done something to my shoulder over the weekend cos was in a lot of pain.

Tuesday Apr 3

Running 1:07:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13
Great morning for a run, cool (even pulled out my long sleeved running top for the occassion!!) and calm. Felt pretty good, my arms/shoulder is still hurting but not as bad as yesterday.

Lots of people out this morning, saw the usual crowd, Carmel, the guy walking his 8 Greyhounds along Redbank Rd (thankfully they are all well behaved and on leads!!) and the Tuesday morning cycle group.

Monday Apr 2

Running intervals 25:00 [3] 4.8 km (5:12 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13
Feeling rather sore from the weekend, especially my left shoulder?!? Decided to go to intervals (more for a social catch up than a hard session).
Long warm plus some run throughs.
4 x 400m with a 200m recovery
Cool down and stretches.
Cycling (Mtb) 15:00 [2]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13
Ride to and from intervals. Going over Red Hill was a killer, my legs just wouldn't work!! Felt better on the way home.
