Sunday Jun 10

Orienteering race (QB3 Day 2) 1:16:51 [5] 10.4 km (7:23 / km) +410m 6:10 / km
shoes: Jalas - new
QB3 Day 2 at Clonalton/Grahams Creek. A rather different story to the previous day, I could actually run!! Quite an enjoyable course, a couple of short legs but mostly long ones which actually provided some route choice. Felt as thou I was running pretty well and was happy with my navigating. Made a small error at 4, was in a lot of rock and overran it. Was sick of climbing over damn barb wire fences by the end of the run!! Only 3mins behind Jo so was very happy.
Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]
shoes: Jalas - new
Easy run to the start

Saturday Jun 9

Orienteering race (QB3 Day 1) 1:02:23 [5] 4.9 km (12:44 / km) +230m 10:19 / km
shoes: Jalas - new
QB3 Day 1 at Cliffords Farm. A very small field (just Jo and myself) in W21A. Found the course more physically challenging than anything, just a lot of legs through scrubby stuff. However I did manage to make one biggish error between 7 and 8 when I lost the track and drifted a bit too far east, ended up having to cross a rather large, green gully, not happy.

A nice, quite weekend, lost mobile reception sometime after Cootamundra (and didn't get it back until Monday arvo), plus no TV at our accom. At least we had the radio to tell us the Swans beat the Hawks, yay!!

Friday Jun 8

Running 1:07:15 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13
Morning Plumpton/Boiling Down Rd loop

Thursday Jun 7

Note
(rest day)
No time for training today. Spent the day travelling to Hay (and then 100km north of Hay!!) to do a thrilling inspection of a bridge job!! At least I had the new Powderfinger album for company

Wednesday Jun 6

Running 53:15 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13
Morning streets run. A clear beautiful day (and chilly), thankfully there was no fog, unlike the previous two mornings. Struggled going up Leavenworth Dr and over Willans, legs don't like hills in the morning
Gym 1:00:00 [3]
Back to normal weights, it hurt

Tuesday Jun 5

Running 48:10 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13
Standard Willans Hill run. Got the map out after to work out another loop

Monday Jun 4

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13
Run to and from the boat club rd (one day I'll actually work out what its really called, but it leads to the Boat Club!)
Running intervals 20:00 [5] 4 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13
4 x 500m with a 500m recovery back down the road. Felt pretty good considering I'd spent a good part of the day driving to Yass and back (plus 2hours standing in the freezing cold by the highway). Times got better with each rep which was strange for me!!
