Orienteering race (Aus Relay Champs) 39:08 [5] 5 km (7:50 / km)
shoes: Jalas - new
Wasn't too keen on running today after my performance the previous day, was rather tired as well. Ran 2nd leg of the Stingers team, Tracy came back just seconds behind Jo (in 1st), so Mace and I pretty much started together. Had Mace in my sights for the first few controls (we had different loops), and was sure she was ahead of my for the entire run. Didn't enjoy the uphill leg.... Finished thinking we were 2nd, but had passed Mace somewhere and we were leading. Orla ran our 3rd leg, we came 3rd, yay!! Was an exicting sprint finish for 1st and 2nd between Vanessa and Cassie, SA just won.
C • good on you briohny

thanks ...

Orienteering race (Aus Champs) 1:32:00 [5] 9.4 km (9:47 / km) +350m 8:15 / km
shoes: Jalas - new
I think my time speaks for itself..... horrible.
Was doing well to the 7th control, no mistakes and felt pretty good running wise and then it all came crashing down at 8... 10, 11 and 16.

My alternate reason for such a bad run is that it would have been a bit suspicious if the course setters daughter had a blinder. Thanks Dad, I really did enjoy your course (minus my dumb mistakes!)

Orienteering 30:00 [3]
shoes: Jalas - new
Easy jog around the model map (mainly because my club was organising it), was nice once I finally thawed out after watching the JWOC relay!

Thursday Jul 12

Orienteering race (Western Plains Challenge) 35:40 [4] 4.5 km (7:56 / km) +185m 6:34 / km
shoes: Jalas - new
My first taste of the Dubbo terrain, really enjoyed it. Started off slow to get a feel of the map. The first control came up a lot faster than I had expected. Tash caught me (1min behind) at the 2nd, we over ran the 4th and from here on I tried to ignore her and navigate by myself. Drifted too much to the north for 9, and was pretty happy with the rest.

Wednesday Jul 11

Running 38:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus
Easy morning run around the Lake, arrived home with some lovely frost on my gloves!

Drive back to Dubbo after work, not too bad, all the traffic seemed to be going the opposite direction.

Tuesday Jul 10

Running 47:15 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus
Standard Willans Hill run, another great afternoon for running. Was feeling surprisingly good on the hills, took it pretty cautiously on the downhills tho as my ankle was feeling a bit sore from Saturday

Monday Jul 9

Running 1:03:00 [3]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS7
A beautiful, clear afternoon not a cloud in the sky, yippee!! Left work at 3.30 to make the most of it. Two laps of Lake Albert, was the first time I'd run on the new part of the track (infront of the golf course). Quite an enjoyable run, lots of people out walking.
