Running race (Duathalon) 18:03 [5] 4 km (4:31 / km) vdot: 42.6
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Decided to give the Wagga Tri-ants monthly Duathalon a go this morning. Wasn't sure if it was going to be on as it was still drizzling at 8.30am. Had cleared by 9am but still a very small turnout. Felt pretty good on the first run, hadn't really had a chance to warm up

Cycling (Road) race (Duathalon) 37:58 [4] 18 km (2:07 / km)
I am so not a cyclist! Had a lot of fun but was very slow and ended up a bit over 5mins behind the rest (there were only 5 of us doing the long, all with a lot more cycling experience). Was a bit scared on the corners as the road was pretty wet and slippery.

Running race (Duathalon) 8:47 [5] 2 km (4:24 / km) vdot: 41.3
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Ended up running this by myself so had to push myself big time. Legs felt like jelly after getting off the bike and the slight downhill at the start didn't help. All in all happy with how I went and had fun, will definatly go back next month, even if it is just for the yummy breakfast the club puts on afterwards!!

Saturday Jan 19

Running 1:36:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13
Morning long run in the rain, it was great got totally drenched :) along the Wiradjuri track again to the Red Hill underpass and home again, the track at the end was very muddy and slippery so ended up running in the adjacent bush which was fun

Friday Jan 18

Running 1:08:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Great morning for running, cool, overcast (please rain today) and a lovely breeze blowing and to think I nearly stayed in bed!! Standard Plumpton - Boiling Down - Redbank loop, quads were a bit tight at the start from yesterdays intervals but loosened up after 10 mins or so.

Thursday Jan 17

Running 53:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Morning streets, for something different

Running warm up/down 10:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Warm up with Dad before Willans intervals, first time we have run together since June last year. Good to see him running again, thou he did complain that his running top had shrunk... my theory he may have expanded a bit due to his lack of exercise :P
Cool down by myself

Running intervals 26:00 [4]

4 laps of my made up track, didnt get lost this week. My times were about 20 secs faster than last week, it was 5 degrees cooler today which I think helped.

Wednesday Jan 16

Running 50:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
A killer of a Willans run, did not expect it to be this hot... 38 degrees. Thankfully my ipod kept me going, please cool down soon

Tuesday Jan 15

Running 51:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Morning run to Lake Albert, full lap and home. I dont think I've seen that many people out running of a morning ever, I counted 9 going the opposite way to me and saw one other in the distance. At times it felt a bit crowed as there were heaps of walkers out as well, I wonder where they go in the winter??

Running warm up/down 10:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
A few laps around the cycle track before and after intervals, my cool down felt more like a crawl thou

Running intervals 30:00 [5]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
Pryamid session at the cycle track, was hot and yuck but was determined not to pull out again this week.
2 x 100, 200, 400, 800, 400, 200, 100 (with 100m rec, in between) I was exhausted afterwards

Monday Jan 14

Running (fartlek) 38:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 13 (2)
I know I wasn't going to run today but it was a lot cooler that last week when I got home from work so I thought why not....fartlek to Apex Park and home, think I ate too many strawberries before I went thou.
