Orienteering race (NOL MultiLoop) 1:08:52 [5]9.6 km (7:10 / km) +255m 6:20 / km
shoes: Jalas - new
This hurt, wasn't feeling 100% at the start, last weeks gastro caught up with me and I lacked in energy the entire race, just had to keep pushing myself. Had the shortest loop first (compass was doing some weird spinning thing at one stage which confused me). Had a bit of trouble with the 1st and 2nd on the longest loop. Felt totally exhausted by the end, but was a really fun course wish I had been feeling better

Event: ASC Galaxy & Canberra Cup

Orienteering race (UC Sprint) 13:39 [5]2.3 km (5:56 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Wasn't sure how I'd go today after thurs and fri, but was feeling ok. Took a bit to work out what was what on the map but had heaps of fun, a bit scrappy on a couple of controls, including #10 which I overran. Pretty happy with my result

Orienteering race (NOL Sprint Relay) 9:21 [5]1.4 km (6:41 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
2nd leg of the mixed sprint relay, running in a team with Robbie. Was glad I didnt start in the mass start!! Had a bit of trouble with the first control but apart from that was good, ran with Fel for a lot of it which pushed me.

Orienteering race (NOL Sprint Relay) 10:22 [5]1.5 km (6:55 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Final leg of relay and I was stuffed! Once again had trouble with the first one and Fel caught me again, we pushed each other along and ended up dead heating. Going to suffer tomorrow :(

Pilates 30:00 [3]

Still not feeling 100% but needed to do something. Had planned on spending 30mins on the windtraininer but bike had a flat?? Go figure

Wednesday Mar 26

Running 1:08:25 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel Kayano 14
Could fell every bump and bruise I sustained from the weekend at the start of this run, but settled down after the first 10mins. Felt surprisingly good and even pushed it up the hills at the end, fastest time yet on this new loop.

Tuesday Mar 25

Cycling (Road) (Windtrainer) 50:00 [3]
Gave the legs a nice stretch by testing out my windtrainer, very humid after the recent rain and as a result after 5mins was sweating rather a lot, yuk. Spent the rest of the day watching dvd's and eating chocolate......

Monday Mar 24

Orienteering race (Easter Day 3) 1:08:03 [4]5.6 km (12:09 / km) +170m 10:33 / km
shoes: Jalas - new
My easter wouldnt be complete without a shocking run and today I had that. Felt very flat before I even started, just had no energy. Then the actual race.... Started seconds after Ilka and seconds before Sophie, never saw them after the 1st.... I stuffed 2 so badly, just couldnt read the contours, the only thing I was happy with was my relocation efforts!! Zoe caught me by 4mins here. Then had another shocker at 4, troubles with reading contours again, met Shan (on her way to 3) and she set me right.
From here on just took it slowly and cautiously (thoughts of DNF'ing did pass through my mind), Zoe caught me back up and we ran the last bit together. One to forget!!!
