Perth city to surf Half Marathon.
I was pretty disappointed with this run. I felt I'd trained the best I could (given surgery 8 weeks ago), but being sick this last week just took it out of me.
Started off well, felt great the first 8km (probably just the excitement of the run!!), enjoyed running through the Uni of WA and then Kings Park (where even though my pace slowed a bit I loved it). I started to feel pretty flat around the 12km mark, dehydrated (was super warm - for me - but also I'd lost so much fluid through snot the week before I don't think I'd hydrated enough the days before). Skip forward to the last 4km and I was hating life... the undulating road, omg was not fun :(
Highlight of the run was seeing Eloise Wellings fly past in the 12km run where she set a race record.
So anyways, one to learn from. It was a nice run and always good to run somewhere different :)
