The best thing I can say is successfully got round the course.
#1 Following is never good particularly to the wrong control and then being lost. Exiting #2, fell heavily. Ok when I got up and carried on. Discovered only had thumb loop from compass. Decided to carry on and retire later if too much. Enough fences and streams/ditches on map to get round slowly. Arriving a #8 (previous #2), found compass capsule so that helped for the rest of the course. Best legs #11, #12, #13 when plan worked perfectly.
