Rest day today. May do a small bit of core but will mainly just spend the day in the library.

Devastated to have been as sloppy as I was - lost 8 minutes in big errors as I suspected. 5mins of those were lost on the last two technical controls!


It is clear that I was thrown by the size of the event. I made a big mistake on control 1 (2mins) due to not being calm out of the start. The next big mistake I made (1min) was at 15 after taking water at the water station (never had one of these in an event before). THen had a pretty clean run untill 23 (control after the spectator control) I guess hearing the atmosphere of the arena made me loose concentration and then I panicked when I found a control that wasn't mine and spent 4 mins running around in circles.

Easy run through the tunnels.

Struggling from spending so much time in the library revising at the moment. Back and hip pain mainly.

Max effort plank - 3min 10Sec - Going to try and do these regularly but will need to be careful with my back.

Also a few press ups. Want to make these a daily routine again.

Did a fair bit of stretching and foam rolling to relax muscles from being sat all day.

Fun run at the second event in the BOK urban series.

Made on big mistake of 2 to 2.5 mins on way out of control 55. Took one extra turn. Very silly and then just got disorientated. Other than that a fairly easy run. Happy with the speed i achieved. Still got a long way to go before I can compete with the top lot though.

Note

had two rest days. Wasn't quite the plan but been in the library all day both days and has caused me lots of back and hip pain. Will try and run each day for the rest of the week as it will keep me sane if nothing else.
