Ran after work - just up the 'creek' (storm water drain), then back along MacKenzie. I needed this; most of the day at work found me sitting...
Its funny when someone gets a fright when they suddenly realise there's someone there (just trying to run past). I didn't think I was scary, but maybe I am, especially when I'm jogging along....

Went running on Black Mountain. There was a lot of climb, but I can't get that info from the garmin while I'm in Canberra. I actually got quite disoriented in the forest and ran much further south than planned. Didn't matter, lovely morning for running. Just here for the weekend, visiting family.

Rode to work today with a colleague. It was quite hard, becaue I was trying to keep up with someone who likes to ride with the large chain ring most of the time.Phew!

Hagaby bush event on One Tree Hill. I really enjoyed this and ran as hard as I could. Had a couple of dodgey route choices, but otherwise pleased with today.

Saturday morning stretch session, in the drizzly 'rain'. A lovely experience. I think everyone who participated was happy to get wet after the horrible run of very hot days the Bendigo has endured this summer. Let's hope we've finished with 40 for the remainder of summer. So far we have had 13 days over 40c. It's been punishing!

This was a sprint event around the La Trobe Uni campus. I made a major map reading error, and ran from the 8th control to 16, then ran 17 and 18 before realising. When I corrected, I ran to 10, (assuming I'd been to no. 9) and followed up with all the following controls in order. Ran hard, and covered much more distance that needed. The distance is guessed.

Rode to work this morning. It was hazy because of the smoke, and ther ewere a lot of truck on the way; perhaps they were avoiding the Hume (which is blocked due to fires around Wallan/ Kilmore). I got another flat tyre.

Very early morning run with 4 others form the orienteering club. We met at No 7 at 6am and it was dark when we began running. It was 30 degrees at that time of the day. I struggled to keep up the pace with the guys, and dropped off before they all finished.

Ran to the Step into Life stretching session at Lake Weeroona this morning and ran some of the way home. I'd stoppe4d to buy some bread at the farmers market on my way home and set out up the hill in Rosalind Park, but hte legs had had enough, and I walked home from there. Walk not counted in training time.

Rode to work this morning with 2 others. Its starting to be dark enough in the morning for us to need lights. No flat tyres this morning.

Cardio session after work. If I wasn't commited to going I would have sat down when I got home and not moved. Instead, there was someone to tell me what to do, and didn't have to think at all, just DO what I was told, and I got puffed and sweaty and more tired, but that was OK.

Ran a couple of loops of Crusoe & No. 7, avoiding the large dam wall, then jumped in for a cooling swim to the new pontoon & one of the closer buoys. The water was lovely! Home by 8:45am.
