Eureka's local event today - at Enfield - drove down with Jo Anne and Jim, met Ilka there. The map was quite vague, and Warwick had set some tricky courses!

Went for a lovely long run with Jo Anne. Followed channels from Crusoe Rd onto cleared land, then up onto the Big Hill range to the trig point, and continued to the road, then down the fire trail and along water channel tracks.

Beautiful day on Browns Reef, close to home - rode the bike to a great bush orienteering event - took 15mins to get there - how good's that! Jenny Ball set the courses and she did a really good job - she found some great routes in the trickier parts of the spur gully map.

The challenge was to bluff the really aggressive magpie into not swooping and pecking my helmet. The answer - chopsticks and duct tape. The magpie approached and with a little movement of my head it didn't know what was going on - and stayed well away! I won! Looked pretty weird and had a few funny looks from drivers (and my workmates just laughed when I arrived )

3 hour maxi event at Hepburn Diggings. Ran with Jo Anne, and really enjoyed it. We made a couple of errors - all when running along tracks and talking - losing concentration.

Combo map used at local orienteering event, which included two types of contour depiction. There was a lot of guesswork for me.

Local bike ride through the forest, along tracks out to Marong and checked out the Marong Reserve as a good place to map for primary schools orienteering events.
