long slow run (Injured -walk not run) 2:42:25 [2] 13.77 km (11:48 / km)
shoes: Red Asics

The intention was to have a long slow endurance training session. Set off from no. 7 car park and jogged out to the fire trail (climbed the gate & jumped down on the way). Sudden pain in my lower back stopped me; had a bit of a stretch and decided I could no longer run, so set off to continue the session at a walk. I walked the whole Marne circuit - 13.77 Km. After driving home my back was very stiff. Have done nothing all afternoon - lying around.

run 27:26 [3] 5.2 km (5:17 / km)
shoes: Red Asics

A rare early morning jog up and down the creek. Helped me cope better at work today - it always does! I should do this more often! Truth is that I had more time this morning because there was a electrician coming to our house at 8 am so I leaving later for work than usual.

Step into Life group 1:00:00 [3]

Tone up session that turned into a fitness test with a 3km hard run. I got through 17 full push ups in 1 min ( that's a lot for me).

Bushwalk 2:09:43 [2] 6.06 km (21:24 / km)
shoes: Treksta Nestfit

We walked the Tunnel track in the Lerderderg Gorge. Nice walk, not steep ( except for a couple of short bits).

Step into Life group 1:00:00 [3] 3.0 km (20:00 / km)
shoes: ASIC nimbus

Powerflex session at 8am, we started with a 3km jog to warm up, then did our usual stretches, followed by some relaxing 'upside-down planks' - very good start for the weekend.

run 27:18 [3] 4.8 km (5:41 / km)
shoes: Red Asics

Ran after work at the end of the week. Just went up MacKenzie St to Oak & back along the creek. I was glad to finish this run. I'd attempted one on
N the previous day and only got 1.18km before having to stop and walk because of a sore knee; walked home.

Cardio session run by Jenny. This was quite tough, after doing some sprint intervals, we alternated running around the oval with tabata 20 sec repetitions of quite tough exercises ( push ups, squat jumps, cycles, etc, for 2 minutes at a time.

Step into Life group 1:00:00 [3]

Tone up session this afternoon, using resistance bands. Jenny took this session, because Mick was away having a holiday. We had a lot of laughs mostly at Jenny's expense - she was challenged by the whole stopwatch thing.

running event 50:54 [5] 9.48 km (5:22 / km)
shoes: Red Asics

'Run From the Hills' event today; Judy and I went to this together. I was originally booked to participate in the 21.5km course, but was concerned about how my left knee would cope with this distance and the steep trails. Instead of this, I ran the 10km trail run which wasn't as steep, but still had some decent hills. Taped my knee and had no problems with it. Used ice afterwards. I was really happy to be placed first in the 40+ women's category. The official time is registered as 49:59, which is a stunning time for me.

Bushwalk 1:42:00 [3] 14.3 km (7:08 / km)
shoes: Red Asics

Training walk with my sister and her group exercise buddies. They are training up for a 55km walk in Sydney in March next year. Enjoyed this a lot, but my knees were so sore! This was more of an urban walk than a bushwalk. It was all on concrete or bitumen.
