Getting dark, so ran a few local roads. Swooping plovers helped determine the route - they're very aggressive.

First morning run in the bush for a long time - it' s no longer dark at 6.30am. The full moon was still up and the bush was very peaceful.

Local long run. My back felt weird most of the time, and I think I overdid it, because it was quite sore afterward. Gradually felt better throughout the afternoon as I moved around doing gardening activities outside.

First running since hurting my back a couple of weeks ago. I jogged around the course, and after 20mins my back no longer hurt. Very pleased with today. It was warm and sunny (a little too warm for winter), the map was lovely, lots of kangaroos out on the course. I mad e few errors, but was pleased to be out there.

Was planning to do a longish run today, but hurt may back yesterday and it got worse when I picked a bucket of grass for Ceira's horse. Spent the rest of the day doing as little as possible.

First intervals session for ages. Physically I felt good running; have been feeling really good when running for the last couple of weeks. I'm on an almost fat free diet, because of a fairly high cholesterol blood test result, and trying reduce cholesterol through diet. I wonder if this is contributing to my running wellbeing? The diet regime is pretty boring, but I haven't minded - even on intense cake and chocolate days at work.
9mins warm up followed by 3 x 5min intervals with 2mins recovery jogs between, and a gradual 12 min warm-down session to run home; couldn't do it too fast because of the darkness.
