Walked to tone up session tonight. Planned to walk home but it was very cold and I sooked out and asked Judy for a lift - thanks mate!

Powerflex session with alternating stretchy exercises with short up and back jogs. Cold start to the day, but loved the stretches!

Orienteering today on the Fiddlers Green map and what an amazing day for it! Lovely cool day with warm sun! The course was challenging, with all controls set in the more complex creek gullies. Started slowly and went too far south when aiming for a straight line, and had to correct. I lost 5 mins on the 13th (last) control. Must have been tired and my right hip was hurting when I ran, so I think I slowed up then too.

Resistence bands strength session. Sore muscles from yesterday's run, jogged between strength exercises. It was a low key session - no one could contribute any jokes; Judy & I were sore and Tegan had a cold.

Ran the half marathon run this morning. Last time I did this was 7 years ago. I was faster then. Had a nice weekend away with friends who were also running.

The Mother's Day classic event in Bendigo was a very wet one. It rained the whole time we were running. I found the second loop much harder than the first. It took a long time after the start to get past those who were slower than me.

Powerflex session - great start to the weekend!

orienteering race 55:30 [4] 6.5 km (8:32 / km) +145m 7:41 / km

Orienteering today was at Lyell Forest, where the terrain is subtle and visibility a bit of a challenge. The course was quite hard because of these issues, but it was a great challenge to try and stay on line, which I didn't manage to do very well at all. Only one major error (control 4), where I lost 5 mins. Good fun!

Last long endurance session before the half. Ceira and I ran along the Forest Creek track at Castlemaine , to the bushland above Expedition Pass, then turned around and ran back. Lovely morning for it, followed by brunch at a local cafe ( waited an hour for our food and we were so hungry!
