Long course on One Tree Hill. Haven't run here for ages, we both decided that the map has an additional layer of rocks since we last ran there. This was a tough hilly course on rocky ground. I've lost the spring in the joints in my feet, so had to go slow as the risk of falling and hurting myself was fairly high.

Tonight we did a game warm up before a run to Rosalind Park and around the park a couple of times, then back to the oval. It was a cool but comfortable to run tonight.

Ran up to Kangaroo Flat, to the swing bridge and back. Aimed to increase my'long' distance to 8km. This was a bit of a slow slog.

Today we ran Neil's 4 map event, across various mining terrain maps in Eaglehawk, Long Gully, Epsom and White Hills. We drove between the maps - these were the untimed legs. It was lovely, but hard work for Neil. He was exhausted afterwards. Ilka and I spent time collecting controls in 2 of the maps after we had finished our course.

After a good running warm up we ran out along the O'Keefe trail for 2km and back. It was a cold but clear night, very nice for a jog.

A longer than usual run up the creek to gateway park and then home. We went early in the afternoon to beat the cold front and just got inside when it hit. Wild wind and rain hit....

Tonight's session was mostly in the umpires changeroom, with boxing gear. We went for a short Street run to break it up. It was a very wet and very cold night.

Interval session at number 7 reservior. Did 3 x 1km intervals after a warm up jog. Group session, with Neil, Andrew Cameron, Darren Eenjes and Jim Russell was there on his bike. It was very cold (about 7 degrees). My time is an estimate.

Course 2 at Upper Crusoe. A cold windy day, but the orienteering was very enjoyable. Some very steep parts were beyond my ability to sustain a running pace. Had a reasonably clean run.
