Hills / tempo session hills 2:14:16 [5] 11.9 km (11:17 / km) +1417m 7:04 / km

The second day was up Mt Feathertop from Harrietville. A well graded track up to and along Bungalow spur. I couldn't sustain much running - but was working to my maximum capacity and hit the wall near the new Federation hut at the saddle. After taking on a bit of food felt a lot better and was able to push to the top. The summit was soooo beautiful - a clear day and we could see so far - what great views! Disappointed with my slow time - must get my anaemia under control.

jogging/walking warm up/down 2:00:00 [2] 11.9 km (10:05 / km)

The walk/jog down was pretty social, meeting and chatting with others. Passed a couple of snakes on the track.

Hills / tempo session hills 58:00 [5] 5.6 km (10:21 / km) +569m 6:52 / km

The first climb of the weekend at the Bright Alpine Climb event. This was a run up Mystic Mountain, above Wandilligong. Very steep, intense climb.

jogging/walking 33:15 [2] 5.6 km (5:56 / km)

Jogged down from Mystic Mountain, just as steep as the uphill.

orienteering 2:03:00 [2] *** 10.6 km (11:36 / km) +265m 10:19 / km

Local Bendigo twilight event. Went out for 2 hours of the 3 hour score event. Took it easy because of the big weekend expected. Navigation was fine until it was fully dark, then I lost it - as usual.
The evening was finished with a social meal under a near full moon on a still clear night in good company.

orienteering 55:50 [3] * 8.73 km (6:24 / km)

First street O event for the summer series. When we set out I thought I'd probably walk some of it - wasn't feeling like going hard. Just ran steadily throughout - not fast, but not too slack, and even managed to run the hills. Had trouble finding one control, so didn't waste too much time on it. Finished with just over 4 mins to spare, so probably had time to find that control that tricked me.
