Sunday Feb 18

Event: Maroondah Dam Trail Run

long slow run 3:09:00 [3] 30.3 km (6:14 / km)
Well, the Maroondah Dam Trail Run was cancelled for today, due to the expected high temperatures and danger of fires in the area. As it happened, lightening earlier in the week did start a fire in the vicinity of the trail run. Apparently it has been re-scheduled for late March. Instead, I did a longer than usual early morning run, starting before 6.30am to avoid running in the heat. Pretty slow run. Felt generally OK afterwards (apart from a few creaky and sore parts in my lower legs).
C • Well done Julie! That's an awe... 5

Saturday Feb 17

MTB ride 2:42:00 [3] 49.13 km (3:18 / km)
Went for a long ride along the back roads through Lockwood

Friday Feb 16

intervals 43:32 [4] 7.85 km (5:33 / km)
This session included 6,6,6&7min intervals (25mins total), with the remainder of time as warm up, cool down, and 1 min recovery between intervals.

Wednesday Feb 14

local run 26:29 [3] 5 km (5:18 / km)
Ran my road option - it's a bit too dark to run in the bush now.
orienteering 58:06 [4] 9.7 km (5:59 / km)
Street orienteering event. Pretty hot, but we were surrounded by storm clouds, and there was the occasional flash of lightening. No rain though. The only wet was sweat.

Tuesday Feb 13

local run 43:04 [3] 7.85 km (5:29 / km)
It's almost too dark to run in the bush without a light at 6.15am - the days are getting shorter...
