Neil and I set out for our first long slow run together in ages. This was a bit of a garden ramble, with lots of stops to admire and photograph the wildflowers. This was in the Wellsford forest, usually a flat boring place to run. Neil had worked out a complex route along specific tracks so we could see the full range of flowers.

The great springtime floral show was out for us today. I think I counted at least 11 different flowers, including 3 types of wattles, tea tree, 2 types of orchid. Best show for years, since the end of the drought. Oh - I also enjoyed the orienteering. Challenging course, set by Derek Morris. Navigation on this map, like last week's event, is more challenging this year because of the extra vegetation. Even though I was much slower overall than Neil on the course, I beat him on 6 legs :)

Space racing; this was the final of the series, and pretty informal. Louise and I ran around the map to visit each of the controls. It was too cold to stand around while the children and their parents ran around.

Made better use of my lunchtime than usual, and did a few weights at the gym. Felt better than usual during the afternoon. I must do this more often.
