Morning run; the Rowan Mackenzie loop. This week my parents are staying, and this is the only way to get my exercise in.

Ran slowly along the north bank of the Wimmera river in Horsham. There are some seriously large flashy houses here. Later we went out for dinner to a Chinese restaurant. 2 out of 10 tables had people sitting at them, so we thought we were set. When we asked for a table for 4, the answer was "sorry, we are fully booked". When we asked about the time it would take to get take away, the answer was "at least half an hour". For an omelette? "Oh, that would take a very long time". It felt like a scene from Monty Python, it was so ridiculous. So we went to the pub and had a good meal, including the vege omelette for Mum in a good time.

Step into Life group had fitness evaluations tonight. Part of this was a 3km time trial. I did this in 15:03. Slower than last time. We also did push ups, sit ups, press up with weights, all for a minute. Planks ( just over 2 mins) and 20m running repetitions for 90mins.

The usual commuting walks were boosted by a lunchtime collegial perambulation around the back of the Castlemaine Botanical Gardens.
