shoes: Black innovates

State series event near Hepburn Springs today on the Tipperary Springs map. This is a steep spur gully area and I chose a longish course. It was a cold and damp day, and I enjoyed the long legs and the hills. Ran the second half of it with a bloke who had got very lost on a long leg. It felt like an adventure because of its steepness and distance.

This was the Victorian Middle Distance Championship event, on the yorkshire hill map (inside the fence), and only the 2nd time it has been used. I had been busy with organising the start and had a few things on my mind, so my concentration on the map wasn't the best today. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had a longer course, too. Anyway, its a lovely place to orienteer in...
