orienteering race (Hagaby) 1:02:29 [4] 6.95 km (8:59 / km)
shoes: Black innovates

Bush hagaby event on the Lockwood Range map. We had some tough running up and around and down hills, with some butterfly loops at the top amongst the granite boulders. Made only a couple of small errors; my main limitation was just being slow on the hills. This was exceptional orienteering- a great course.

orienteering (Control collection ) 25:00 [3] 1.5 km (16:40 / km)

Collection of controls after the event- walking

orienteering race (Sprint) 17:16 [4] 2.4 km (7:12 / km)
shoes: Grey mizumos

Sprint race around Bendigo South East College. Quite a fun event, made a couple of errors and should really have been disqualified for not touching the flag at the start and for punching a control through a wire fence at the cricket nets.

MTB ride (Bellarine RailTrail) 2:39:14 [3] 39.43 km (4:02 / km)

Today we started with coffee with Evan, in Geelong. Then we headed onto the trail to Queenscliff.
This trail had many more cyclists on it today; it's a nice easy trail but there are many road crossings. Aparently this railway was one of the most dangerous ones in Victoria, because of the many level crossings between Geelong and Queenscliff.

MTB ride (Rail trail) 2:46:38 [3] 37.71 km (4:25 / km)

Rode from Queenscliff to Geelong on the Bellarine rail trail with Judy. This is a picturesque trail with very gentle hills and frequent shady trees. We had a gusty cross wind most of the way, but the trail surface is hard gravel or bitumen, so easy riding. There was a bit of road riding in town to get to our accommodation by the river. Had a delayed start; I realised that I’d forgotten to take my helmet ( when we were ready to start). Had to drive to Barwon Heads (closest bike shop) to buy a new helmet).

Note

Walked for about 45 mins with my neighbour.

run 23:00 [3] 3.7 km (6:13 / km)
shoes: Grey mizumos

Last night we had a meeting at our place for the orienteering club's committee. When it finished, everyone left except two people, whose cars had broken down. They both decided that their car problems would be left for the next day, and Di (spouse) was called to drive around and take them home. This morning one of the unfortunate men returned, fixed the car easily, but had 2 vehicles to get home. Opportunity for a run, so I drove one of the cars back to his place and jogged home. The other vehicle is still parked outside....
