Nice stretch this morning by the lake.

Commuting run to the lake for Powerflex this morning. More like a slow plod. At least it warmed me up.

Orienteering at Smiths Reef today; at Neil's suggestion I did course 1, and it was a bit longer than I'm used to running, bit I'm glad I did it. The course setter gave us lots of hills and challenged us with running through the vague sections of the map.

Note

Got up for a walk with my neighbour at 7:30am. We walked for 1.5 hours. Then I went to koolamurt scout camp to provide some assistance to Jim who was organising an orienteering session for a group of Girton school students. I spent at least on hour walking around the bushland there, some of the time with a teacher and the rest of the time collecting controls at the end of the event.
All up: over 2.5 hours of moderate intensity walking.

It was sooo cold tonight! Only 6 degrees. We just needed to keep moving, so this distance includes the jogging done while warming up at the start. We then had a 4 km street run, and returned to the oval for a HIIT session. A really good session that warmed us well.

Went around to Judy's and did a 30 mins gym session, half cardio and half resistance, using her exercise bike, rower and boxing bag, and my resistance band.

This morning we had our fitness evaluations. This consisted of a 2 km time trial (10:25) followed by push ups, sit ups, weighted squats and dumbbell should presses, with as many sprint reps as we could do in 90secs. It's always a good workout session. Followed by coffee...
