Victorian Middle distance championships event, in mining terrain at Creswick. My running and navigation was good for most of the course except for finding the 2nd control; I lost 10 minutes looking for it, and came 3rd in my age class. Apart from that error I enjoyed the event. We travelled down and back with Prue, which was really nice, and enjoyed a pie at the Red Fox cafe in Creswick, with friends. Excellent pies and pasties.

Orienteering near Creswick. Did course 2 and had a terrible time trying to find the 2nd control looking in the wrong place. Lost 17 mins on that leg, and later another leg was a bit problematic. It was a beautiful day for a bush run, but I admit to DOMS after yesterday’s fartlek session on the Ross trainer.

Went to the Eaglehawk gym and practiced a fartlek session on the cross trainer, before taking Neil through this next week (he's my guinea pig). It was short but hard.

Step into Life group (tone up) 50:00 [3]

Arrived late to my step into life class (read my clock wrongly), so just warmed up quickly and joined in. Enjoyed coffee with the girls afterwards.

Ran late in the afternoon with Neil, just up and down the creek. It was pretty cold with a wind that lowered the perceived temperature. A good run to warm us up and give me a boost before the orienteering club committee meeting tonight.
