Step into Life group (Tone up) 1:00:00 [2]

Core ball and weights session this morning in the sunshine, after a freezing start to the day.

long slow run 1:36:18 [3] 13.91 km (6:55 / km)
shoes: Salomon speed cross 4

Long slow run this afternoon; I did the Marne loop run, jogged out from No.7 res around the channel track and returned from the trig point ridge via the diagonal track. Since I was last on these tracks, there’s been a lot more mountain bikes and dirt bikes churning up the stones and gouging the base of the track. Had to be very careful to not roll my ankles....
I didn’t run all the way. Walked uphill sections in many places....

orienteering 1:14:41 [3] ***** 5.1 km (14:39 / km)
shoes: Salomon speed cross 4

Orienteering at Mt Kooyoora; I set out on course 2 quite late after assisting a few novices at the assembly area, with Ilka doing the same course leaving just after me. The navigation there is sooo intense! No running for me except in occasional clear areas. There’s a lot of dead wattles and fallen timber to get through. Both of us seemed to have similar levels of difficulty on this course; Ilka had given up on the 6th leg when I came along, so we continued to the next control and then abandoned and walked back because it was 3pm, when people want to start collecting controls.

run 38:26 [3] 6.13 km (6:16 / km)
shoes: Grey mizumos

Ran home from the mechanic’s workshop in Eaglehawk. Started out with Neil, so we ran through the areas he has mapped from the landfill through to Sparrowhawk road. We parted ways there so I could run up to Victoria Hill (toilet visit), and then down Lily street to home. This was a bit of a short cut. Nice run though, on a cold morning. I love winter.

Note

Walked about 8.5km in 2 hours this morning with my Neighbourhood. It was really cold (heavy frost) when we started, but finished with a blue cloudless sunny morning.

Step into Life group (Cardio) 1:00:00 [3] 5.7 km (10:32 / km)
shoes: Grey mizumos

We went for a run tonight out along the trail to Lightening Hill primary school. A lovely cold night for a run.
