orienteering (Control checking) 1:00:00 [2] 3.0 km (20:00 / km)

Thursday Jul 25 #

Note

Spent the last two mornings putting out and checking controls for the weekend’s BENDIGO Ringen events. The terrain is ex gold mining and at times quite complex. Some of the thicker regrowth from the Black Saturday bushfire has been cleared and mulched, and this seems to have improved the runnability and attractiveness of the Royal George Company map. We will be using this for only the second time this Saturday.

Step into Life group (Tone up) 1:00:00 [4]

Heavy weight session that included lots of push ups, lots of abs and shoulder work tonight.

Wednesday Jul 24 #

Step into Life group (Cardio) 1:00:00 [4] 6.66 km (9:01 / km)
shoes: Grey mizumos

We went for a lovely street run tonight, along Napier street which has just been finished (after about 3 years of major roadworks).

Tuesday Jul 23 #

orienteering (Controlling) 1:14:04 [2] 4.67 km (15:52 / km)
shoes: Salomons

Controlling for the weekend’s events, visiting controls that Neil placed earlier today, to check.

Walking 1:00:00 [1] 5.0 km (12:00 / km)
shoes: Salomons

Alkyd with Kate this morning. A shorter walk than usual, because I had a dental appointment at 9am.

Ex bike 20:00 [3]

Met Fiona at the gym and pedaled with her for 20mins; a start to her training program for the great Vic bike ride.

Step into Life group (Tone up) 40:00 [3]

Heavy weights session tonight. I took the warmup for Gayle who was leading the session. Lights went out with 20 mins to go, so I attempted to get them back on. This didn’t work, so the group finished the session in the dark.
