orienteering race (Vic Long Champs) 1:06:23 [3] 6.12 km (10:51 / km)
shoes: Salomon speed cross 4

Vic long distance championship race today. I ran in the w55age class, for a longer race. The official straight line distance in this course was 4.9km, so of course I covered over 6 Kms! Didnt make too many errors, but still 20mins behind Jenny Bourne (that’s normal for me).

Ran about half of course 2 today at Diamond Hill. I was distracted by worrying about the computer and tablet at the registration tent. I needn’t have worried in the end, as the problem was solved by Lorraine anyway. Oh well, I’m running tomorrow, so at least I didn’t wreck myself beforehand.

We rode our bikes through the western and northern bushland surrounds of Bendigo, keeping off the bitumen as much as possible. This was a lovely thing to do on such a beautiful day, but I’ve gotta admit that I’m not bike hardened and found it a rather tough exercise. The magpies are in full swooping mode and I was targeted twice ( how did Neil miss out?)
