Feeling a lot less tired this morning. It felt like a long week at work!
Had gentle morning walk, about 4 miles.
Did long hill reps on the road up Otley Chevin.
20 mins easy which felt quite hard at first but easier by the end.
3 x road hill reps - 1.62km/162m (symetry stats not intentional!)
Rep 1 - 9min 40 secs
Rep 2 - 9min 50 secs
Rep 3 - 9min 40 secs
Felt similar on all 3 reps. Had that blood taste in my mouth by the top/felt broken but recovered quickly and surprised I was able to stay consistent on all 3 reps. Rested for 20 seconds after each before running back down.
20 mins easy after.
I dread yet enjoy this session in equal measure!

Woken by alarm. Felt really tired.
50 mins easy + 4 hill sprints.
Although I felt tired still felt ok running and felt even better after sprints.
20 mins in sauna - I have noticed it takes longer to sweat properly in sauna now. Up to 12 minutes.

Cycle commute to work.
Felt really easy cycling to work
Strong head wind cycling back. Felt hard as left Work later than planned at 7.30 so was hungry as well as the head wind.
11 miles each way.
10 hours at work today (longer than normal) and didn’t get a lunchtime walk so feeling tired.

3 sets as per previous. Same reps on each.

A really cold morning - 0.5 degrees at 7am.
50 mins easy + 8 strideouts.
Felt really good today, felt I wanted to go faster/have a hard run but kept it easy. Quad tenderness has gone.
Strideouts felt smooth.
20 mins sauna
30 mins massage - a few small knots on both lower calves/ankles but rest of legs were good.

Easy run from work + 8 strideouts.
Felt a bit sluggish and didn’t really feel like running m for first 5 mins then once settled in felt good.
Still slight tenderness in my quads.
First 2 strideouts didn’t feel very natural then rest felt normal.

Slept well and woken by alarm. No sleep issues just due to flight timing!
Tender quads through the day. Everything else feels great.
Ran 6.5km/30 mins after work. Legs felt really good. Light and springy, quite a strange feeling!

Sunday Mar 31 #

Quads a bit sore today. But rest of body feels good.
30 mins super easy. A couple of small inclines and felt fine trotting up them. Didn’t run down inclines - quads hurt!
I’ve never run the day after a big race so wasn’t sure how it would feel but felt surprisingly fine.
It’s nice not to have a post Ultra stomach pain!
I know I haven’t logged yesterday - more to think about there - Will write it down on the plane.
