Saturday Aug 10 #

Run (Easy) 1:08:00 [3] 24.5 km (2:47 / km) +375m 2:35 / km

Woke up at 4.30 with a stomach ache and couldn’t get back to sleep so went out for run at first light - 5.15am.
Felt good but had a bad stomach and stopped for the toilet about 4-5 times.
Did route through fields and out to grounds of harewood house which are all good trials. Although I felt good/fresh legged the run felt a bit interrupted due to stomach. Felt hungry/thirty by the time I got home.

The closest I got to a run today was a 6km walk/jog in the pouring rain in full waterproofs to the station.
Cycled home from work and annoying got a puncture in exactly the same place as normal so only 35mins of riding. After the walk home with bike it was late so didn’t run.

Thursday Aug 8 #

2 sets Of s&c - all felt fine. Not sure what knee issue was on Tuesday but no sign of it now

Ran into Leeds from work, 3 miles down to canal on trails then 7.5 along canal towpath.
I wasn’t sure how I would feel on today’s run as i’ve had a funny tummy the last couple of days and I haven’t felt great on easy runs but I felt surprisingly good. It was a very enjoyable run!
Walked 4 miles home afterwards.

Wednesday Aug 7 #

Knee felt fine this morning during drills - did 2 sets.
Easy run from work, did route gentle downhill to canal, along canal and back up through fields to the office. Felt fine throughout the run, not amazing like I did a couple of weeks ago but not awful.

Tuesday Aug 6 #

6 AM

Easy run from home through park and fields.
Felt really tired this morning and heavy legged for first 30mins, felt a lot better the second half of the run and did 4 strides which felt good at the end.
8 AM

Rode to work straight after run.
Didn’t feel as bad today, although a head wind most of the way that made it quite hard going.
I had planned to get train/walk home but ended up at work later than planned so cycled home as it takes half the time to ride as it does to trains/walk.
18.5km each way
9 PM

S&C 20:00 [3]

1 set of usual S&C. All felt fine.
Started second set and got a funny twinge in my left knee when doing squats. It didn’t hurt but felt quite weird so didn’t continue with the rest of the set.

Monday Aug 5 #

8 AM

Cycling 1:00:00 [3]

Rode to work and back.
Felt tired today and heavy legs during the ride both ways. (10% slower than normal)
38km in total.

Sunday Aug 4 #

Cycling 2:30:00 [3]

Did a ride instead of an easy run.
Rode to Ilkley (31km/300m).
Stopped for 30 for lunch
Rode back the same way (31km/300m)
