My watch and Strava says 1800m but I think that’s overstated! Felt more like 1400m ish.
Felt better again this morning so decided to do the race.
Started easier than I usually would. Breathing was quite heavy but legs felt good and it wasn’t in my chest. Very windy for much of the race.
It was a bit of a strange race as I didn’t push as hard as I usually would as conscious i’m only just got over cold and didn’t want to make myself ill again. I was trying but just not as much as normal. I was happy with how I felt and that I came 2nd. I think I could have won if I had tried harder but decided winning a low key fell race wasn’t worth being ill for weeks! It felt good to have a 3 hour run out too.

Feeling a lot better today. Not 100% so didn’t do hill sprints but glad to feel much better.

(Very) easy run on trails from work. I actually felt better run than when not. Didn’t do strideouts.
A lot of sneezing and running nose throughout the day.

Woke up with a bit of a niggle in my chest and lots of sneezing.
Delayed run to see how I felt and felt much better by the evening so set off at planned moderate pace. I could feel my chest strain a bit straight away so ran at an easy pace instead. Really annoying as my legs felt great and a really like these 1 hour moderate runs but I know if i’m even slightly ill an easy run is the right thing to do. It was still a pleasant run, just a shane to miss the moderate run.
Same route as yesterday.

Scarified morning run for an extra hours sleep.
Ran after work, in dark on road unfortunately. No pitch so did 4 x 30 second accelerations every 10 mins.
Felt really good.

Usual 80’ loop on trails from work. I was abruptly awoken by my alarm today and felt pretty sleepy during run (and most of the day). Legs felt pretty good just mentally tired really. It was pretty cold this morning (3 degrees) which probably didn’t help.

Easy run along the first 19km of next weeks race. It’s an FRA “non GPS” race so wanted to check the route out to avoid navigating next week. It was very boggy in parts. I was glad to see the underfoot conditions ahead of next week. Felt good.
Walked the last 12km to finish the loop.
