Usual hilly fartlek route on Otley Chevin.
20 mins easy - 57’ fartlek (16 hills between 40” and 4’) - 24” easy.
First few efforts felt harder than the rest but they always do. Then from about 10 mins in felt really good and enjoyed the run.
Looking at pace after, I think this is the fastest I have run this route.

LAte night at work last night so didn’t get as much sleep as I would have liked. Surprisingly felt excellent on morning run on usual trails from work - wanted to carry on for much longer! Long may the good feelings continue!

2 x set of warm up drills
Despite running at 7am, i felt pretty good for this easy run. . Ran in sense 7s (as opposed to Ultra’s) which made me feel lighter. It was also light too which may have helped.
Really enjoyed this morning’s run.

30 easy 8x diagonals, 30 easy.
Diagonals were a bit challenging as it was really windy and pitch almost a bit wet but managed.
Let reasonable. Nothing else to report.

Trails from work pre work. Took a while to get going, mainly because I had that morning morning feeling. I am thinking about how I fit my easy runs in at lunch as i just feel so much better running a bit later on. 6 x strides fine.

Note

Went on a 1 hour horse riding hack today (a surprise birthday present from my sister). First ride in 20 years, I loved it but won’t be making a habit of it so don’t worry! No time for more activities!

Ran on the road, in the dark, in heavy rain...and felt excellent!!
I just felt really good the whole run and seemed to feel better and better as it went on. Felt I could have carried on for hours! Nice to feel like this.
