Sunday Dec 3

Orienteering race 51:28 [3]+11m
ahr:157 max:174 shoes: Asics 2110 2.0
Rangiora fun Christmas Caper orienteering. Managed to be late for the mass start, but only by a couple of minutes. Cruised around the river and around the high school + farm. Managed to win some Christmas baking, yum!

Saturday Dec 2

Cycling - Road 53:38 [3]18.3 km (2:56 / km) +513m 2:34 / km
Cruised around to Chris' to watch the Harbour classic race go past. Then headed up Mt Pleasant and along to Evans pass to watch them loop back again. Haven't riden in so long so legs really struggled up the hill + gears not working at all on the first part of the hill.
Cycling - Road 55:13 [3]24.2 km (2:17 / km) +397m 2:07 / km
Cruised from Evans pass along the summit rd to the Kiwi and down Dyers to home. Legs so not used to cycling, horrible.
Orienteering 2:29:03 [2]+534m
ahr:119 max:153 shoes: Adidas Supernova
Easy jogging around the hills, checking/marking control sites for the Christmas rogaine... legs so tired.

Friday Dec 1

Running 1:15:05 [2]+292m
ahr:125 max:161 shoes: Asics 2110 2.0
Runnin with La, delivering cookies and then up the Valley to meet Rapaki. Cruised up onto Montgomery spur and home again. Legs tired and sore after yesterday. Ankle and tendons a bit sore too.

Thursday Nov 30

Running 1:20:41 [2]
ahr:130 max:165 shoes: Asics 2110
Running to Bottle Lake from home. Further than expected, and shortcut backfired when became lost and stuck in a series of dead-ends.
Orienteering 55:01 [3]
ahr:135 max:169 shoes: Asics 2110
Easy training at bottle lake. Slow running with weary tired legs. Nice loop course for the mass start 'race'.

Wednesday Nov 29

Running race 39:25 [5]+283m
ahr:174 max:184 shoes: Asics 2110 2.0
Last race in the offroad series. Started along the esplande at Sumner, climbed up the hill towards Taylor's Mistake and then cruised up the spur to Evan's Pass. Back down the Captain Thomas Track.

Had a pleasant race, Carsten was only cruising with the Kepler on Saturday, so got to the top of the hill feeling comfortable right on the tail of Carsten, Chris et al. They gradually pulled away going down the hill: I still lack the legspeed.

Anyway ended up 4th about 45s behind Chris(3rd).
