| Morning stage around Lincoln. We got lost. Fortunately we still ended up at the finish, although it was after 10km instead of 37. Cruised around in a nice bunch for most of the stage. |

| It was a pretty nice first stage around Waikari. We had an out and back, with a very nice tailwind to start off. Got to the turn around in 31 mins at a very gentle cruise. It was a terrible slog back into the wind especially since I was with only one other guy. Tried to put in a sprint up the hill for the KOM and got a good lead to cruise the 3km to the finish. |

| Nasty out and back time trial. Went far too fast at the start, into a horrible NW wind and felt completely ill. Very grateful to reach the turn around in about 8:05 and then had a delicious tailwind all the way back. Most importantly I thrashed Cris.
Michael Vink had the fastest time of about 10:50, which is quite speedy. |

| A very slow training like cruise to finish the day. Had a nice thrash up the only hill for some KOM points, then more cruising until the sprint at the end. |

| The most relaxing Tuesday ride ever. Chatted to the guy organising the tour this weekend. Told him there ought to be more hills in the course. He said I'd be surprised. I said "pah". |
