Good Sunday long run, kept it road shoes like all my recent Sundays but tried to get some decent climb in. Mostly quite gradual climbs but did think it would be more like 600 again, ah well. Quads pretty tired and domsy at the start, and more so by the end, had a good old ice bath in the stream after.

An easy spin to get some more climb in. Did 3 reps up from Withens Res to Stoney Royd which was very nice and peaceful, just stuck it in a tiny gear and spun away keeping it zone 2.

Getting in some climb on Daisy Bank for the fundraiser. Didn't max out the climb, had a few bits of flat to break it up, but was expecting over 600, ah well. Achilles felt grand.

Some hills in a nice bit of afternoon sun. Hit up Stocks Ln to start with, a couple reps to halfway and then a full climb. Did overheat a bit though, and then got a bit cold as the sun dropped later on. Went up the Jerusalem Farm climb and then Jerry Fields Ln/Clunters Ln, along the top and down Cragg. Tried to take the climbs chill but easier said than done and quads a bit tired by the end. Big curry after, happy days.
Easy spin, good to be back on the bike, although nervously looking over my shoulder at everything that came past. Started noticing a little catching noise so stopped and had a look and found one side of a chain link had snapped. Interesting one. Anyway rang home and got a lift back from Hubberton.

Achilles less stiff than usual when I woke up this morning, and alright on the run, maybe a tad weak but maybe not, potentially just tight calves making things feel sub-optimal. Anyway, enjoyed a nice loop round the moors even if it was about 0° and misty.

15 x 1min (1min float) on the canal.
Bit the bullet with a more proper session. Achilles fine throughout and seems to have coped well after. Took a while to get the legs turning but fitness felt alright, legs definitely more the limiting factor than the heart and lungs. L IT band a little tight on WU but improved, both calves pretty tight after, L more so.

Gentle Monday miles up round the tracks. An earlier than usual run, and Achilles was maybe a tad stiff at the start. Other than that felt alright, nice and peaceful in the mist.
