kinda warmer weather today with +5. Down to Shannon terrace but made the mistake of trying to see what the conditions are like on the fish creek path. The path was super icy and I had to bail at Bebo grove and find my way back to the path I usually take. Left knee feeling kinda weird but not really hurting

-6 today meaning the puddles had turned to pure icy. One of the puddles wasn't fully iced over so I got some water on my rims which froze over and rendered my brakes useless. Luckily I was on a flat stretch so it wasn't too hard to stop but I couldn't seem to fix it so just had to take it a little slower for the rest of the ride. Brakes were definitely in need of some maintenance already so this was long over due.

Twice around the reservoir today. A continuation of the cooler weather but still well above 0 so that's fine with me. The path though weaslehead was kinda a mix of some icy spots and some slushy areas which made for an interesting challenge. Also, there's finally some bare pavement starting to pop up down in the valley so hopefully, it'll be completely clear soon enough. The only really area I struggle with was the climb out of the valley since it was pretty much all ice with absolutely no grip in some areas so basically had to pull myself up the guard rail once again.

Note

skiing at sunshine today. probably not the best thing for my shin but it wasn't hurting at all and I kept the jumps small. No pain from impacts anymore, mostly just sore to the touch, regardless, I'm still gonna keep biking this week.
