Time on the course was around 72 mins putting me around 3rd or 4th for the event. Kinda disappointing seeing as I felt good but I guess I didn't always have the motivation to push like I would in a race
Was hot out and tough going but was doing fairly well. No big mistakes just the occasional hesitations especially on the long leg but looking back i chose a decent route. Went to the finish before the last control but was just tired then. Got really dehydrated and was starting to loose a bit of energy any further and I would have died.

Started off by making 30s on the first control, not great. Next few were fine was nice runnable forest then had a horror of 5. Saw where i thought the control would be then looked at my map and decided to carry on and turned out i was right the first time and lost like 1.30mins. This like 14/15yr old caught up with me who to be fair was moving well but just followed me for the rest of the course. Last half was fine just some little wobbles until the second last control where i made like 3mins of mistakes all in the control circle. All of the vegetation was mapped really well apart from inside the control circle was very annoying as I pulled away from the wee guy and he caught me didn't know where he was cos he followed me and ended up finishing just after me

Coulmony middle distance mass start simulation
Was pretty fun ngl the first loop was short with lots of controls and change of direction and the second had longer legs with some routechouce. Nice to get some decent speed training in terrain through deep heather but felt fairly dead

Bit windy but really sunny for a change was nice. Legs were tired and just wasted overall but kept plodding along at an easy pace. Stopped to sit in the sun for a bit halfway round which was nice but shouldn't have done as my left knee really hurted for the last half

Was completely wasted just have no energy at the minute. Hamstring was also really tight and stiff probably from sitting down all day for the past few months. Walked the dog and streched it at lunch but obviously wasn't enough
Also had the worst asthma i've had in a few years, halfway through the last rep just closed up and really struggled wasnt fun

Was really good but small but anything bigger would just be too big. Refreshing how to orienteer on a bike around spittal and then found some drops by muir. Just on the hardtail but the forks are so good it was still class

Was a good area pretty runnable and some fun hills. First loop i messed up big time just not focusing but all the others were much better and actually some decent training. Legs felt fairly decent

Pretty much all new trails which was nice but made it a bit stop starty. Didn't do anything too rough so my shoulder wouldn't flare up and apart from the first 20mins it felt good which is good news.
