Tentsmuir short brown.
Legs surprisingly felt semi decent despite only have 3hrs sleep and done my biggest week yet. My nav was mostly good just a few minor slips in the circles costing about 4 mins in total. Was just a bit annoyed that we had travelled all that way to have so many td3 legs and lots of path running with little routechoice, not impressed. Wish i did the blue as it looked much more fun. Also was very certain 3 was in the wrong place but no one else seemed to agree with me when I brought it up so i was just probably wrong again

Forres WOC sprint
Tried up until 7 but made a stupid mistake on it and had no motivation. Felt really rough and definitely still suffering from Affric. A really nice technical course and nailed all the routechoice bar 7 just couldn't hack the pace. Also saw 2 doors open by a stairwell of a block of flats and nipped through to save me going around the building

Tour middle champs at Darnaway
Was a fun course especially the first few controls but made a mistake to 9 by going through part of the green and then lost energy, was still suffering from glen affric. Made a small mistake on 12 then euan caught me on 13 and hung with him and dom until the finish

was really sunny so a bunch of us took the kayaks out and went for a spin. We had forgotten to put a cap on a hole at the front and we nearly sunk but after that was fine. Started off with 5 people per 3 man kayak but managed to squeeze 6 on at the end without sinking

Glen Affric long legs
was running with jamie and we swapped nav halfway through each leg. We were picking good routes and running well, 9.30s up until 4 where everything slowed down a bit. When i ran here before the selection races i remembered the forest being more runnable and distinct that it was at the start but oh well. Class few controls but then properly bonked going to 4 and pretty much walked the 2.5k leg from 5 to the finish. I think it was heat stroke as I have had it before and it felt similar

Was not looking forward to the windows exercise as in the very few i have done I have gotten horrifically lost. Was a very pleasant surprise when i spiked every control bar one. It is a much nicer area in summer than winter and it was really useful training

Findhorn event
Did a mini mass start with barney and jamie to make things interesting but we all ended up spooning number 2 and losing 3 mins. I took a more direct route to 6 and used some dirty tactics telling them it wasn't our control and managed to get away. Jamie nearly caught me again at 12 but was all good. Just going to ignore the fact that I placed the last 4 controls and still messed them up and I helped plan and still lost 3 mins on 2

Was in the good side so had to get a boat from findhorn which was cool. Some good o but halfway through the first loop i tripped and landed on a stick and my chest was too sore too run. It eased off after taking painkillers but the. someone whacked me with a stick at lunch so now have a massive lump. didn't even manage to beat jamie in the head to head race

Finally had a decent run
Made a little slip on 2 coming underneath the crag when it was actually on top. Finlay did the same cos he thought you weren't allowed to put controls on top of crags but oh well. Worst mistake was 6 when I was a bit too high and went down the wrong reentrant costing 3 mins. Last few controls were just a bit grotty but nice area

Didn't make too many mistakes bar a 3 min mess up on control 3 which was annoying. Felt slow running and on the hills which was a bit disappointing. Nice area and cool views over to skye/eigg

nevis range trails with jamie
Did the xc world champs route + black crane which were both class. The bottom sections of both started to get boring and stupid with just loads of puncture rocks and nothing actually technical.
Was a bit annoyed because considering how much money they make off just car parking each day the trail were in pretty poor condition and there was relatively few of them. The roughness maybe improved the black but it made the red horrible to ride at parts

Got up early to beat the crowds and was finished by lunch time. Bailed on buchaille etive mor cos neither of us could really be bothered to do 15k
