Event: AIRE Long-O
 

Orienteering race (Long-O) 3:05:00 [5] *** 25.5 km (7:15 / km) +400m 6:44 / km
46c shoes: Swoops (2005)

Very very long.
Didn't carry water or snacks, so only had a cup of water half way round.
Brain wnet wobbly at control 30 or so, probably due to dehydration.

Warm day, and windy.

Had a big sprawling fall on hardpacked earth. Covered in grazes - shoulders, elbows, wrists. :(

Winners time was about 2:24, so only about 40 mins behind.

It was good though. Interesting use of area, included some street O, some techincal woodland, big open moor.
