Old Grey Gristle Test
Was going to be a rest day. Been feeling woozy this week, and worse this morning.
But so beautiful, decided to see how it went.
So much sheet ice on the paths, so few people. Spikes on obvs.
Managed to run almost 6km, and all the run up Rocky Valley, albeit a couple of minutes slower than "normal" - whatever normal is now...
Right calf tired; leg still feels slightly disconnected. However, definite improvement.
Trying to be positive and hopeful.

C2H5K Day 16 - Let it gooooooooooo
Bitterly cold Easterly. Snow and ice. But another stunning morning on the moor. Ellie decided today we would push on to Swastika Stone.
Lots of ice under snow. Spikes/Yaktrax doing their thing.

Right calf is very tired. Right ankle complaining a bit. Still no push off/landing muscles.

C2H5K Day 15 - rarefied air
Beautiful crisp clear morning. Bitterly cold, but still.
Snow showers visible in the distance.
Good strong walk up Keighley gate for Ellie, and a quicker run on the first run stage. Really good.
Me, still lacking that push off power and landing braking. No signs of any improvement there. General calf strength improving.

Over-committed, under-estimated
Stunning day on the moor. Decided to go a bit further, but under-estimated how long it would take to add in the red bog loop. Oops.

Still back in 1.5 hrs

A thin dusting of snow on very cold ground. Had to stop for Ellie to put yaktrax on when it became clear that she had no traction.
