Despite feeling rubbish and with heavy tired legs, Ellie still got out the door in the rain and wind and ran. OK, so we cut it a little bit shorter, but she stuck with it.
That shows real grit and determination.
Right calf tired. Physio this morning.
Note
Physio report:
Good progress.
Lots of stiffness in foot - part of what is stopping full range of heel raise.
Stretching of glutes/piriformis important.
Sacro-iliac joint still very stiff, but yoga etc seems to be helping. Need to free that up to stop it impinging on the nerve.
Aching in calf to be expected. It's ok.
Need to start jumping around now. Skipping, jumping, hopping, bouncing, pogoing etc.
She is very positive that things will return in time.
Shoulder is in a bad way. Requires very basic mobility exercises. Avoid pain stress. 50% inflammation, 50% muscle problems.
Probably a minor rotator cuff tear started it. Now become something much more, affecting whole shoulder.
Ultrasound will determine best course.
Injections _are to be avoided_ - research showing that may solve short term, but leave long term issues.
If an injection is the last resort then _must_ be done with ultrasound otherwise ineffective because will miss location, most likely.
