colonel’s drive
much better than yesterday, first bit was a bit mid, then was completely alone on the loop in the middle and lost almost all my motivation but then saw lucie catching me two mins, faceplanted, then ran the last half a lot more happily. still got overtaken up the hill rip. not exactly clean but no big mistakes just a lot of tiny errors

holme fell
oh god
a water point at the map turnover would have saved this race. started off fine other than a faceplant to #1 and a bit of confusion at #2 but then once i did a few controls out of the trees i was really not thriving. coming out of #5 i was being overtaken by 60 year old men up the hill, i could then see the massive hill to #6 and a line of people going straight up it but decided i didn’t want to do that so i did a massive banana (on purpose) to get up the hill. walked a couple more controls, met toby at #7 where we had a complain about how thirsty we were and then once he left i ran down the hill to the next few controls (ewan needs to take note for next time he meets me depressed in a forest). overtook a couple of the old men who had previously left me behind, was feeling slightly better in the trees than on the fell but then got so confused at #12, neither legs or brain were working at this point. last few in the trees were okay until i thought i had survived and then got so lost on #16 and spent like 3 mins wandering round in completely the wrong place. not the most enjoyable race but at least i finished? moral of the story is bring water next time i guess

couldn’t manage a warm down i just needed a drink

high rigg o
SO much fun :))
was slightly losing motivation at the far end but got caught by david and kept with him for a couple controls until we caught ian at #10 and had a very fun train which i ended up leading to the finish… not a good idea i was way too far up. shows that i can actually run as fast as people like david when i have the motivation of people around me, but on my own i’m slower. such good fun on a lovely day though, glad i wore shorts despite the scratches on my legs…

slap with daisy + issy!!!
stomach has been okay since sunday, but i was way too busy moving practically everything out of my flat to run then. tried to go to the doctors on saturday but the only appointment they could give me was mid exam so will try again tomorrow. i haven’t been feeling particularly amazing, probably something to do with the fact i’ve barely eaten anything since tuesday, have had two proper meals today though so it’s improving. you would also think i’d feel slightly more rested today considering i haven’t ran properly in 6 days but this felt closer to interval pace than easy run, oh dear. couple more easy runs this week and i should be fine though :)
