so much fun i love roseisle
roanne caught me at #5 and i think i had been going a bit cautiously before that so definitely was running harder once we were together. saw lucy and ended up spiking the first two controls in the light green i was very impressed with myself. then roanne and lucy both had different gaffles at #14 and they both got even more lost than me so i dropped them both and came in first yay!! got beaten by a minute on my leg though. really really enjoyed this, very happy and also shins barely hurt! in need of new shoes though the holes in these just keep getting bigger

hmmm this was a bit mid but still very enjoyable. first part was so much fun, felt good and was spiking most of the controls. was very very pleased with myself when izzy hasn’t caught me three mins and i had made it to #8, was expecting her by like #2. then got a bit confused at #9, fell in a waist deep bog and then once i had got out i turned round and izzy was behind me :( still proud of myself for staying ahead for this long though!! got stuck in a thicket coming out of #12 and sliced my arms stomach and neck rip. then got so so lost at #13, was stood around in what seemed to match the map exactly but was still like 20m away from the control?? not really sure how i managed that. next few legs were on the track and my shin was really sore along here, and also up the hill to #15. up this hill though izzy caught me up again?!!??!? most unexpected thing ever. got dropped immediately though. next few were okay, but i was very tired by this point so wasn’t going very quickly. then got so confused at #21 and spent ages climbing over trees trying to find it. then could not for the life of me work out what path i was on to #22, was about to go back up to the main path but turned round and the control was right there? then got so so confused at #23 and did not have a clue what was going on but found some rocks and thank god they were the right ones. proceeded to mess up the last control as well, thought i had ran straight past it when i really hadn’t.

not exactly the best race ever but i was in a good mood for basically the whole thing which is a massive improvement on things like british long so i’ll take that as a win :)) shins will just have to manage this weekend and i’ll deal with them on monday.

been a bit unmotivated recently, probably to do with the weather this week tbh. still haven’t phoned the doctors about the stomach issues but i’m a bit busy for a while now so will probably have to wait until i’m home in a couple weeks. not had any issues since the other week so hopefully i’ll be fine. hoping some more exciting places to run will motivate me a bit more!
