Very easy around manitou trails. Strides at the end. Legs feel ok

Running long 3:19:45 [2] 25.0 km (7:59 / km) +2040m 5:40 / km

Jog/Hike up Longs Peak. Started off hiking but find it so boring on my own so started jogging very easy. Up to 4346m so good test. Mostly scrambling for the last few km so hard to tell what running would be like but took the scrambling fairly fast and felt good.

Took the descent super steady.

Downhill session. 3 x 2km hard downhill with 2km uphill jog recovery. + WU and WD.
Good session. trail was perhaps not quite as steep as id hoped (260m over 2km) but I stuck with it and figured it would be good prep for Pikes Peak.

Last rep was tough due to a blister right on the front of my big toe but otherwise fine. Plantar ok.

First decent long run with some altitude. Out and back ran up to 3,884m so only slightly higher than previously but more climbing overall up to that point. Generally felt good going up and kept a decent steady pace for the full 1000m. Took the descent steady

Easy trail run with one or two slightly quicker kms thrown in. Hot!

Up to the lake and back. Started at 2,930m and climbed up to 3,379m at the highest point. The highest ive ever ran, and could deinitely tell! felt hard work. Took the descent super easy. Plantar- the usual, noticeable but not enough to slow me down at all.

Had hiked up the camp the previous afternoon, 10km or so, plantar doesnt like hiking with a heavy bag so will try and minimise that from now on.
