More enjoyable than I had anticipated. Felt surprisingly good hence why it was faster than prescribed. Certainly moderate for most of the run and ‘comfortably hard’ towards the end but remained enjoyable. Mildly undulating and tarmac the whole way. No nutritional intake throughout.

Warm-up: 20’ easy with 6 x 15s strides
Race: felt good this AM and started fast (possibly too fast). Mixed terrain (mainly off-road) and undulating. Uphill first 4k with couple of steep ones. Legs felt heavy and struggled on them - felt like I was going backwards! Finished ok.
Cool down: 20’ easy

Feeling ok this AM. Little bit tired but early start and slightly short sleep. Commute into work with 3kg pack. Run was fine - no issues.
